Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Ohh no that can't be. Yoshimaru exhausts (full exhausts not slip ons) for n650 costs around 60K. I dont think akra for 390 would be anywhere that costly. If it is as costly then I guess the stock ones are really good. :POriginally posted by 'nYsus' View Post

I just said slipons, full systems are costlier.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostOhh no that can't be. Yoshimaru exhausts (full exhausts not slip ons) for n650 costs around 60K. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Stupidity, stupidity of svc or PDI. My bike had no spilling issue of coolant till second service. For my second service I went to goregaon instead of seewood(in mumbai) as it was near. These fellow top up the coolant level till max ideally it shd be near min level, because of which when bike becomes hot and you lean the bike there are spills on tank.Originally posted by arunonline47 View PostTook her for a late night ride and revved till 8k RPM, returned home and noticed some green coolant sprayed on my fuel tank .... wat could be the issue guys?

Akrapovic exhausts (slipons) for say an N300 costs about 40k now.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostGuys can anyone tell me the cost of Akra exhausts and whether there needs to be an ecu remap done for installing the same?
Since duke doesnt have a stock header long enough to hold a slipon either you will have to get the full system or make a custom header which is not reccomended.
Either way it would cost pretty much close to 50k or above. All thanks to the import duties and taxes.
Not sure if they stock the akra ones for 390 but do check with PRS(perfomance store india) or bachoo motors

The akra power-part is not yet available in India, but it is bound to be costly affair. 40k or above will be the price we can expect for a full system, which includes the slip on and a header pipe.
Now since we are on the topic, PRS has got their hand on with fresh stock of two-brothers exhaust system specifically for the 390, they had posted a video on it. Why don't you have a look at that and decide for your self.
Now for your second question, if you are going for the full system, then a ECU remap, free flow air filter is mandatory, or you will end up with a seized up engine, if just going for a slip-on it is not that mandatory.
Cheers

no offence though.
If a person is so keen on getting the akrapovic they could source it from say a country where it is already offered as a powerpart and ship it here.
A friend bought a full system yoshimura for a ninja tourer in a similar way, whom you may be knowing.

Lol..i never bothered to hear the video, as i was not interested in a loud exhaust anyway, stock itself is loud enough.
And about the yoshi..believe me when i say this when he came to visit, he managed to wake up all the people in my apartment building..!! :-P
he wasn't too amused too after a long tour with that kind of a rattle going on..!! Though the sound was super sexy..!!

Thank you peaesus for your valuable suggestion, will go and visit the SVC soon to get my RPM raised a bit to increase my idle rpm. Hope it solves my problem, fingers crossed.Originally posted by peaesus View PostI think it is indeed because of idling speed and not spark plug.
Initially 2nd gear at 20 kmps kind of lugs. After run in it is not there and one way good to assume that idling rpm has desreased.
When I hit brake and then clutch I can the rpm dropping below 1.5k. Esseneially having a higher idling rpm should help. Newer bikes say that they have higher idling (rewind a couple dozen pages).
Next time just try and notice rpm indicator when you press the clutch.

Yeah, even I want to know if it is in bangalore. Searched around quite a bit, couldn't find. Found one at a mall in whitefield..but they do not wash bikes there.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
I too was facing this stalling issue massively with my bike, and after referring to one post here, I got the idling increased a little from 1.5k to 1.7k and voila the issue got completely resolved. No stalling afterwards and the SVC where I suggested this is using the same solution with all the affected users
