I have set the suspension at lowest height. Ride height is a little bit better now.

I am thinking to sell the bike now as I rarely get time to ride it. Biker inside of me has died a long time ago.

Finally received the fuel pump. It is so neat and clean [emoji7][emoji7] Periodic maintenance kit is still out of stock though. I wonder how do they cater the bikes standing in their yard for servicing. Once I receive the fuel filter can install the tank and try starting my bike.

I also bought a new spark plug and replaced it today. Btw, did you guys know there is a spark plug rubber gasket installed on the spark plug which I forgot to switch to the new one before installing. Attached pic for reference.

How much did you pay for fuel pump?

How can basic things like fuel filter and oil filter.be out of stock? I think they are lying and keeping the stock for bikes coming to their SC for periodic schedule service.

No he is right, issues is with Bajaj/KTM and not SVC.
Due to lockdown since March for the last 3 months all Bajaj/KTM factories and other 3rd party suppliers all have had shut shop.

Both of Bajaj/KTM factories are in MH which is the worst hit state in India due to COV-19.
They have only started production slowly with 50% workforce since 8th of this month,not sure they might shut again due to recent deaths again. Also which ever spares is getting manufactured is going straight to production line for fully built bikes to sell in showrooms.

So ya spares supply to service center is reduced almost by 50% from factory, whichever stock is there they've been used up and consumed in last 2 months. Expect more delays for minute non-significant parts like farings, headlights, speedometer etc etc etc.

I've been running around from 2 last week back to 3 different SVC just for a small ₹8 Faring plastic Rivet which is out-of-stock and they were very honest about in explain the ongoing supply chain issues right now. Most of the things are on back order.

Yes, the spark plugs will have a boot around the insulator to make it a tight fit. If you've missed it, no big deal. But make sure you keep the boot safe, you can install it back next time you take out the plug.

whats all that crap out from a plastic petrol tank!!
maybe time to switch to a different petrol pump.. some places do have rusty tanks n what not contaminants.. that will enter your fuel tank and cause havoc. there are sock type filters that can prevent this from happening, but difficult to get hold of one in india. check out https://www.guglatech.com

coming to cleaning of the tank (After removing the fuel pump assy), you can first wash it out with some dish wash soap and a scrubber* (you might find one with a long handle that can help you reach the inside walls) and then use some vinegar (fill up with say 70% vinegar 30% water) and let it sit for a couple of hours.
along with the fuel pump, i would also suggest you replace the plastic opening of the tank (which sits under the cap).. the part iirc is called "cup cap" it comes with a rubber gasket under it, doesn't cost much and if it is damaged/worn, water/dust can enter the tank easily. i had it replaced once on my d200.

and yeh forgot to mention.. while you are at it, better to get the throttle body also thoroughly cleaned out and if possible injector cleaned too.

Since the 250 and the 390 shares the same body panels iam sharing my experience here and also the Duke 250 thread is always inactive.
Bought a Duke 250 BS6 a month ago every thing is ok but iam irritated by the plastic buzzing sound in the front part of the bike especially in the lower rpms the sound is very irritating. Couldnt able to find out from were the sound is emerging, Forgot to mention this issue during the first service the bike is at 1,100 kms on the odo. Right from the delivery day iam hearing this plastic buzzing noise.

Any solution for this noise??

most probably the infamous buzz from the tank cap.. try placing your hand slightly pressed on the tank cap and see if the buzz stops. if it does, then have the tank cap removed and refitted. did you observe if the noise is only when the tank is relatively low on fuel vs almost a full tank ?
another thing could be the rear view mirrors.. again hold each rvm one at a time with your hand and see if the buzz stops.
and finally the belly pan, make sure it is fastened properly and check if any tiny stones are lodged in it.

Its not from the tank cap because its 100% plastic buzzing sound especially from the front side of the bike i tried hard to find out the point from were the sound is coming but couldnt able to point out accurately.

I have similar issue in my Duke 390. Cannot find the source of noise.

I am making a guess here from what I have experienced. There is cheap crappy plastic shroud around the ignition key lock, that thing "can" be the possible culprit. The bike does vibe at a certain RPM, and this plastic does make some weird sounds, I have tried holding it and it stops, have you guys checked this shroud?

Fuel pump costed me around 4k.

My point exactly, how can daily running item be out of order. But I did manage to get the periodic maintenance kit from another centre...
