Are there any Fazer windshield users who have not installed any additional support, and Is it sturdy without them?

My friend is using FAZER windshield on his RS and his friend uses the same on his NS, both of them tours alot..

He tested it above 120kmph, it does its job.
    I have attached the pic.

    Cheers.

Looks like the shield was secured by the 4 bolts only and no additional support. So how did it fare at 80+ speeds? Any vibes or rattling of the windshield? And if you don't mind me asking, why did you switch back to stock?

80kmph are ease,it will withstand even at 150+ but it's not sturdy. It will rattle at crosswinds a bit but it won't be a much issue.
I like the naked looks sometimes so switched to stock. This shield is worth using in 390.

When you mentioned your speedo showed zero, did it show constant zero irrespective of the speed every time you rode or you cranked from a stop or the speedo, to an extent showed positive numbers an then randomly goes to 0 and the like, because this can definitely help us get to the right solution. Usually, the display randomly shows up odd numbers here and there and then shows 0 all this happening during the ride.

One more thing to note is that make sure you get all the pins, sockets and connectors properly fastened, during the installation phase. As you've said, bent pins of connectors, sockets can be a PITA.

                Cheers!

During early days, it showed 0s on the ride, it shows 0 for few seconds and then it used to be normal.
Then with time it got reversed. It was 0 only most of the time. It showed speed for a second at times and stays in 0 throughout. Like if I ride for 30 mins, it wouldn't have showed speed for even a minute.

The demo bike of Adyar KTM had the same issue they said. It had a crash and they had swapped everything and finally after changing the display the 0 Speedo has disappeared. It was an early model as well. They had sold it off recently for cheap.

I opened the 20 pin connector (black) and the 6 pin connector (white) and the checked each wire one by one and they were good (one was a bit shaky but was in position only). But there were 2 more connectors, the unused ones (blue and red) . The plastic in one wire in that is cut and the copper thing is showing out. I'm curious whether this thing making contact with some other part could be the reason. Even though it's an unused port, if it makes contact with something, it'll conduct.

Will try swapping the display after tapping the cable once when I'm free.

It's bad for the engine cause if the exhaust is not good quality and is run on the bike, it will be like slow poison that will destroy the engine, you need a power commander and air filter to go with the full system,if your hell bent on exhaust systems get a proper slip on to go with the stock map or a proper reputed full system, but my advise is stick to stock for longer enginelife.

Techincally yes. It can be a problem if the exposed copper touches the body/frame of the bike as the body acts as ground.

I am frustrated finding a suitable crash guard which protects gear and rear brake assembly with front radiator and swingarm. I have following crashbgaurd made by a local ironsmith.crash guard is heavy and good quality for 2500 rupees .
