Checked most cables and speedo sensor, No Luck.
Then I asked them to swap the Display and its good now.
Then I noticed that a cable (in that 20 pin connector) is showing the copper thing outside due to contact with some other part. So plastered it and going to check the old display again

Umm.. also check that connector again to ensure all the wires are properly seated. Also check the speedo sensor connector.
Is your bike under warranty? The console is around 6k iirc.

Checked again. And changed the display assembly finally. I have taken the old Display with me. Bill was 7k with labour.
Its a 2013 Duke and I'm the second owner, so Warranty long gone.
I got irritated hearing that the Chasis has been changed once due to crash. The first owner didn't say this to me.

And now the stalling issue is gone (started using Premium Fuel only) and 0 Speedo is also gone.

          Ouch!
And did you match the chassis number (located on rhs of frame/steering stem just below handle bar)with the rc book, hope it's the same. Otherwise will be a big headache.

Need to check that. But Mechanic said it looks like the Chasis number has been punched in Showroom, it doesn't looks like the Stock punching (the text imprint)

They usualy do that, they get a frame without chassy no, will print the same chassy no and scrub away the chassis no from old chassy.

I bought the bike last year this time. And the paper even had NCB some 15%. So I guess this thing would have happened long back as it's a 2013 Sep lot bike. And if there's no Claims in successive years, NCB increases.

if the previous guy had not claimed insurance, then it wont show up on the insurance papers.
anyway, its the past.. forget about it. just ensure the chassis number matches with whats on the rc book. as you pointed out, the number might have been punched on at the svc on the replacement chassis.

X-post from D200 thread. Windshield seems to be more popular on D390.

The Fazer windshield with little work goes well on the 390. Seen many folks use it. Including Imam and Ezil from here... And its cheap as well..

Read that Fazer windshield are weaker compared with the other 2 that I suggested, which results in vibes/windshield shaking at 80+ speeds. So it needs additional support bars which have to be clamped onto the handle bar, which I want to avoid.

Are there any Fazer windshield users who have not installed any additional support, and Is it sturdy without them?

Great. Good that you saved a good 20k And great to see that the console is faulty. I have a few questions, if you don't mind. When you mentioned your speedo showed zero, did it show constant zero irrespective of the speed every time you rode or you cranked from a stop or the speedo, to an extent showed positive numbers an then randomly goes to 0 and the like, because this can definitely help us get to the right solution. Usually, the display randomly shows up odd numbers here and there and then shows 0 all this happening during the ride.

One more thing to note is that make sure you get all the pins, sockets and connectors properly fastened, during the installation phase. As you've said, bent pins of connectors, sockets can be a PITA.

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
