However, keep in mind that the wind screen needs a bit of tweaking to fit - the holes are not exactly aligned and needs to be pushed by a 2mm or so. Also, you will need some washers and longer allen bolts to fit it.

Or perhaps you can try the IXIL Dual Hyperlow Slipons. Looks good on Dukes and is around 25K. I have seen some Dukes in Delhi with this one.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostThanks Krishna, Vishnu, 'nYsus'. Well looks like the stock exhausts are good enough for me

I was just curious about the Akra exhausts, all the others make the bike sound like a generator or something. Personally, I like the stock exhaust notes and that of Akra(only from listening to videos).Originally posted by sasnoopy22 View PostOr perhaps you can try the IXIL Dual Hyperlow Slipons. Yes it is...I went to the svc and told them this issue in my 200, so they explained me that this is called seepage and it is very normal in a bigger engine.
Got this oil leak on left side of the engine...any idea what it is? Is it possible for chain lube to accumulate there?

It is normal to get the sludge in chain cover when the chain has been over-lubricated.Originally posted by AkshayA View PostYes it is...I went to the svc and told them this issue in my 200, so they explained me that this is called seepage and it is very normal in a bigger engine.

Having oil residue near the spark plug or on it is not a normal thing.
Also the pic posted by other guy seems more like chain lube dripping down rather than a oil leak.
Cheers

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Got 3rd Service done @10800 kms and exactly after 7 months.
Changed Engine oil to Motul 300v @ 1150 per liter.
Changed spark-plug.
Changed Oil Filter
Changed Fuel line filter.
And normal washing, chain lubing, top ups, chain adjustment and diagnostics test.
Total damage was around 2800.
Bike feels more relaxed with 300v and smoother, also 1 bar cooler on heat gauge. Never going back to 7100 again.
Issue: My bike has developed coughing issue during cold engine. it means, some issue with fuel supply. Appointment is taken with service engineer who will check with latest ECU Map for KTM 390. And left leg gaurd bolt broke when I tried to tighten it
. It was not over tightened.
Tires:
At 10800 kms, Rear tire looks like it has still 2000-3000 kms of life. But probability of punctures will be more. Front tire has solid 5000+ kms left.
Doing bit of Research for Rear tire, Eyes on Michelin Sport Radial Tire, but with size 140/70 @ Rs 5800 with 5 years replacement warranty.
KTM 390 Cosmetic updates:
New 390 are coming with different Bar End weight and Softer seating with new seat cover material. The it is plush to sit on but, I highly doubt long rides comfort on soft seat. Present one does job very well on long rides.
Some swappable parts of RC 390.
KTM 390 Mechanical and electrical updates:
New ECU map with latest 390s
New exhaust cam (don't remember exactly what was the term)
KTM 390 Price updates:
Not confirmed, but rumor has it that 390 Duke will be increased by around 20K and so the price of RC 390 will be determined.
KTM RC 390 updates:
Expected to be launched exactly 1 year after 390 Duke was launched i.e. RC will be launched on June/July.
Price: premium of 20K-30K over 390 Duke.Last edited by riazmomin; 04-15-2014, 09:36 PM.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
@riazmomin, My second service is coming up. I read some reports of continuing with 7100 before switching to 300v for 3rd. Any view?
Also is there any possibility of us older Dukes being flashed to the latest ECU map?
Do keep us posted on the tire front.KTM Duke 390 | RE Interceptor 650

I'm having my 1st service done at approx 750 kms and switching to 300v. IMO u don't have to wait for ur 3rd service to switch to 300v. Better quality oil is always good for the engine
