Go buy MRFs. It will cost you around 10-12k (both front and rear).
As you ride sanely, you will hardly feel much difference in performance.

Then I wiped the stain off and it was not oil but carbon stain & Never found any seepage after that inspected multiple times.

Completed 700 km and got the 1st service done. Ravi from Khivraj did a wonderful job.

Now the beast is really ready to race. Loving it every bit!!
      Congrats mate. Ride safe

I too am getting to the point where I would have to change my rear tyre soon. Please inform about the tyres you choose for the bike.

Get the MRF of ktm 200, it cost aroung 6k both tyres. At the time of launch of 390 some big guy from ktm said that metzeller are similar to mrf in dry but better by 5% in wet so i think it make more sense to me to go for mrf unless you are racing.

Sure. Thats the better option comparing the prices. But the grip the Metzeler gives is surely better than MRF . The prices of the Metzelers too have come down.

Just the metzeler price came down.
Mrf rear costs 3800 here , and metzeler rear costs just under 8k.

It may be the bearings... get it checked before u change tyres
. A friend of mine with a cbr 250 has the same problem.

note that the right side is more used up than left? how? please dont say, im using more of that side. no, i pretty sure. this bike has done 90% its life on ghats. but how come the left side has more life? could it be, misalignment? but i never felt any such thing...

Hi buddy, here is a pic of a Metz which has done 15.2k kms

It clearly shows right side is more worn than left. I am not sure of the exact reason but that seems the way it wears out. So hopefully you have nothing to worry

But 9k kms is a bit too early for tyre to give away at speeds like 20kmph again not sure why it happened.

Regarding new tyres, I am not sure if Duke 200's tyres can be a good option. You have to be really careful if you get it, esp while accelerating out of a corner (even if you dont accelerate hard, Metz makes a big difference there) and your top speed will also be limited to around 150kmph as it is not rated for higher. But now since the Metz costs around 8k, maybe you can try and get it.

There are other options from Michelin but they are not of Duke's size, some have tried it but I dont know their feedback.

So I have to ask to all in the discussion here.. has anyone tried the Michelin. ...pls post the feedback. They are expensive at 11k a piece. Just wanted to get an idea. I will probably stick with metz though.

One wont notice this wearing of the tyre until the thread on the tyre is nearly over. Though I was unable to get any specific reason from anyone, last year I thought of mailing Yamaha themselves since all the bikes I used wears out the same way. This was their reply (Recalling it. Deleted the mail)
Indian roads are not straight. Its somewhat like the pic I posted here. So when a bike goes through this path , the right side of the tyre has more pressure applied on it than the left side. So that side of the tyre will wear a little faster than the other side. If Indian traffic was in the opposite way as it is now, the left side of the tyre would worn faster. This is the reason I got from them. I still don't know how much is it true. Governments do this to not let water stay on the centre of the road. If you observe carefully, you can understand this too. Most of them thinks this is their bikes problem. But I believe its not.

Makes perfect sense! Thanks for sharing the info

Roads are never made flat for the reason you mentioned, for water to flow out. So this will be causing extra wear on right side.
