Ya :banghead:
I too have the same problem
It started after 1000kms and the SVC is 200kms from my place thinking of sealing it, but what is there under that rubber seal for oil to leak :what:

It is the paper gaskets that leaks, due to high operating temperature of engine over prolonged period of time.
Finally the wait got over. I got my black monster on 25th

Don't worry mate, the things to be chnaged is mentioned at the back of the service leaflet. Just keep an eye out at the svc when the servicing is being done - thats all is needed.
Finally the wait got over. I got my black monster on 25th Friday . Very next day, took it for a ‘run-in’ trip and completed 800 kms.
Luckily I haven't faced any glitches as faced by few owners as of now. Completed the run in and had it serviced. Touched 170 kph, fully crouched. It really remains stable at all speeds, though the wind blast makes it hard after say 120-130 kph.
Engine heating is not an issue. It does heat up but that's a characteristic. Will live with it.
However the only thing which I feel is the lack of bite in the brakes. Not up to mark if you ride hard. Please share your experiences as well.
I feel even P220 had better ones.
Some pics of getting the initial check by my li'l daughter

Current rides-
Iron 883 (2015- ); Interceptor 650 (2019- )
My bike is 9.6k now, and using it for daily commute. the rear has given up. totally losing rear even at 20km/hr. i gave the best care to tyres, i could. trust me. im simply amazed at the way this tyre has deteriorated. at 9000 kms, rear tyre is dead. managed till now, ( 9.6k ). no headaches like tyre punctures till now. no hard accelerations and my chain sprockets are better than some bikes that are just 5000 kms. i ride it sanely and use gears rather than twist it to hell and brake.
i wonder whats the Rs/Km for this bike. some approx, calculations,
fuel - 25000
2 services - 6000
rear tyre - 8000
so around Rs 4 per Km. i will be damned. using a car like figo is more economical, i think. first i thought this bike is the limit for economy, from a car, but no.
please check the images. note that the right side is more used up than left? how? please dont say, im using more of that side. no, i pretty sure. this bike has done 90% its life on ghats. but how come the left side has more life? could it be, misalignment? but i never felt any such thing...
what are my new tyre options. going the economical way. i cant spend on metzelers, how ever worth they are, as im not on a race track or racing with others.
I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.
