Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
You can get a custom made rack or get it fabricated which will be fitted behind pillion so that you can place tail bag on it. This might give you some idea:Originally posted by JayD View PostWanted to know if there are any options or design one could share for mounting luggage at the rear so that pillion could sit comfortably even with tail bag. i know using big saddle bags may eliminate the need to use tail bags if touring 2 up for a week but again these saddle bags eat up into the rear footpeg space. Need help as i use my bike for 2 up touring.

Tried upto 120+ kmph. Makes a huge difference in the wind blast on the torso. However not much difference around the helmet area. Overall, the behavior is as expected from a windscreen of this size. And, it fits the bike like an OE part.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostAnd btw, the screen guard, is it effective in triple digits ? Looks good too.
Cost with shipping comes to 7k.Originally posted by Adarsh_Bk View PostThats a very nice looking windshield there, goes well with the bike. It still costs around 8k?
I would say it is the oposite. The way this ABS behaves is very different from a normal brake. The way the lever pushes back can be unnerving to a new rider. So, practise braking where the ABS comes on. It is easily reproduced by braking over broken patches, sands etc. Otherwise, when that emergency comes, the rider will get unnerved by the push back by the lever and that may cause him to back off from the brake.Originally posted by viper3683 View PostA word of caution to all regarding the ABS at slow speeds...
When you are riding in bumper to bumper or very slow moving traffic and by any reason you have to jump on the brakes when you had started to open the throttle nicely...
Make sure you don't press the front brake lever very hard, because in such situations if ABS comes into picture, you might end up bumping into someone.... (speeds below 40)
If ABS is kicking in for your every now and then, then please change your braking technique, always increase the braking gradually....
This one looked better to me.Originally posted by senotrius View Post6.5k for the MRA rite.what about the other sports one?Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Here's an update on my broken alloy issue:
I just got a call from service manager that Insurance is approved, they agreed to include tyre under insurance cover as well.
For warranty purpose, I was communicated that they need broken parts for impact analysis blah blah blah.
I'm quite busy at office these days and I just want the bike back in running condition first. Should I opt for insurance or push for warranty?
Infact I'm planning a trip this weekend to the incident spot to scavenge any broken parts at the spot.
Already using it.Originally posted by backlash4u View PostViaterra is coming up with a small bag called seaty. its under development and will be available shortly. So wait...

Manual says 5k rpm for 1000 kms..but I always took it till 7.5k rpm
Don't ride at constant speed. ..
Ride in correct gear.. dont lug the engine..
Do a lot of engine braking in 1st and 2nd so as to flush the debris..
Cycle through all gears..

Yeah. Running in this bike is the most difficult part cos it just refuses to be ridden slowly
. The speeds are fine as long as you keep varying RPM in various gears, Dont use full throttle or exceed the running in RPM limit(which i guess cant be done anyways as its locked)

Nice helmet there..can you post a pic of the helmet separately if you don't mind?Originally posted by The Pain View PostYeah. Running in this bike is the most difficult part cos it just refuses to be ridden slowly

Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
