Just when I completely paid for the bike, I hear news about Yamaha R3. Oh well, I'm guessing they won't refund?

I don't know if this question is repetitive but I am still going ahead with it [emoji5]️How is the experience with the plastic body? And is there any alternative for the long arm (number plate extension) growing out of the tail light?

I got my Duke 390 3 days ago. I really feel that if there was a wider pillion seat. Is there anyway we can get wider seat? Is there any wider pillion seat available or do I have to make it from scratch?

But this time it's a report from TopGear, I'm pretty sure they don't just spew rumors. And it was also caught testing.

You can buy a tail tidy from R&G Racing or Evotech.

One can buy R3 for it's killer look and for the twin cylinder engine pleasure, but service is the question here...!!! Are Yamaha service centers ready for that?.

The RPM limiter will certainly limit your RPM. It can be quite a jerk the first time, so watch out for it. It is pre set at 10,500 revs and no, you can't change it without plugging in an aftermarket ECU.
The indicator on you HUD on the other hand can be set manually. There are two modes, reaching RPM1 will make make the indicator blink and RPM2 will make the indicator stay on. drive_angry: Check out my DIY. You'll need a hack saw, wrenches, screw driver and some long bolts for the number plate. I dunno if you can make out, but it floats. Oh, also, as you can see, I'm not using the number plate LED since I'm just below the tail light anyway. Superlegerra baby!!

Raleigh Steel-Body. 1945. (It's a bicycle. :D)
Kawasaki Bajaj Eliminator. 2001 (Ps. Just found her after she'd been lost for 7 years!! You may now go crazy.)
KTM Duke 390. 2014

When they release it, they'll train the employees. Yamaha service isn't troublesome as I own a FZ. Only if I had known this earlier...

How's the water splash during rainy season? Assuming you use tyre hugger.

I checked out R&G racing website. Pretty cool stuff they have got. Thanks for that brother

Now there are two things I need to know

1. Did you buy any stuff from their website? Is the material quality good? How was your experience?

2. I am the proud owner o HH Karizma. And was fed up with the plastics quality on that bike.. How would you rate plastic quality on this one? Do plastics fade ( color wise) with time?

Cheers!

I've yet to receive the bike, had booked it last Sat. I'll be ordering the tail tidy from PerformanceRacing.in website.

My apologies.. I thought you already had the bike for the complete year.. Will your bike be equipped with the slipper clutch?

Apart from tail tidy.. What all modifications do you have on mind for D390.

Are you going to change the exhaust or stick with the stock underbelly exhaust?

Yes, it'll be equipped with slipper clutch. Currently a windshield and tail tidy are the only ones. I thought of adding an Arrow slip on, but decided to do it after a few thousand kms. Might as well go with matte silver paint later too.

Yep, friend. You must use the tire hugger else you gonna make a mess of yourself! Trust me, I stripped as much as possible off my bike, that tire hugger was one of the first things to go! In fact I would go as far to say that when I chopped Dizzy's tail, I only got a lil bit more messy as opposed to with the tail, but putting the hugger back on sorted it out perfectly! Kudos to the KTM design goblins with their computers and other such wizardry.

Psycho says, "I hear people complaining about the vibes from KTM's 390cc single! uhh. It's obvious. Those KTM mechanical goblins (yes, everyone who works in a factory is a goblin spell caster, also obvious) have made getting ridiculous amounts of power and efficiency outta a single cylinder an art form. No one else can do it. It adds character. Plus, the way it coughs and spits out all that air it gulped during aggressive down shifting...! Damn! Now that is a woman!" - This message has been sponsored by Psycho's Motorbike Innuendo Foundation.

Thanks man! The first one is on the road to Kurseong. The one where the road is all busted is along the toy train's route to Darjeeling.
Thing is, I'd just stepped out for a lazy sunday ride (I live in Jalpaiguri, in the plains) and ended up following the toy train's track till Darjeeling! Little did I know that the road had been lost in a land slide and that they had only recently cleaned up the tracks.
Anyway, no backpack; I didn't plan to go that far. I did have my helmet, boots and gloves though. Didn't realize how cold it would be in the hills, it'd been sweltering in the plains, and it was raining in the hills! First thing I did in Darjeeling was get some warm clothes! Ended up spending 4 nights in the hills!
I didn't take too many pics though... I'll post up the few that I did.
