In that case also there would be marginal performance improvements say 2-5% Max.
Thanks Vivek. Really appreciate your inputs.

Indeed this is the reason we have told him to go with mototorque as sound is good enough. But some people have told him some really good things about Red Rooster and he is genuinely confused.

Hence we had to check with people who actually know the stuff and hence the post here.

I am also a car enthusiast and have done some mods to Fiat Petra 1.6 of my friend, he had full free flow system in his car like green cotton filter no cat con, automech headers and and HKS exhaust then only he finally got some power output. So expecting power increase just by replacing muffler doesn't make any sense in my opinion.

On a second note, I don't like launcher much as the looks doesn't blend with the curves if our retro bull, thought it's a good muffler but not as bassy as shark, would advice you to have a audition of all the bassy mufflers in the market like wild boar, shark, Dolphin etc and then take the decision.

Thanks a lot again for your inputs. He is more bothered about thumps. Infact as you rightly said, shark sounds better and definitely looks better. Will surely suggest this to him.

He is not very happy with WB due to the replicas available. He wants original ones from reputed brand and after quite deliberation, finalised on RRP or Mototorque (latter being he knows the direct supplier and hence clear about authenticity).

Hello everyone. Hope I am the first one to post in this thread this year. I was planning to book Std 500 tomorrow. How is your ownership going on so far. Any major problems? Also I was bit confused to wait till BS4 model launch. Is it worth waiting for the new model? Request your valuable advice friends. Currently my ride is CB Unicorn Dazzler which I sold last week.

A Silent thread usually means a niggle free product, this is applicable across segments. I suspect you will be getting BS-IV compliant vehicle if you book now most probably, unless you are been offered/accept vehicles manufactured earlier this year.

Regarding Bull or Dominor, though they both fall in the same CC segment they are totally different vehicles alltogether. Test drive both and pick the one which puts a smile on your face. I was in the same dilema as well and went for Thunderbird . Understand that Bulls need lots of attention for its own and that's what makes it unique and personal to everyone who owns it.

I wonder why this thread is so silent.

It should be the thread with most activity as most of the DIY and niggles are supposed to happen with RE, especially the bullet 500/350

At present STD 500 has less problems compared to 350. Clocked 15k odo..
No engine problems. Sweet spot at 80-90kmph..
Bullet maintanance is comparatively higher than other bikes. 500 is reliable than other models. But properly service/maintain.....

That's because its(Both Classic/Machismo 500) sales were way lower compared to the 350. Classic 350 was the trump card for RE. It's that simple really.

                      Regards.

                        Hi Everyone,

ODO now nearing 5k. The 4th free service is due and need to do it in next 500kms.

The only issue I have been facing from the day I brought was that the pipe fed to carburetor got loosened most of the times when you kick or press. The hose was replaced under warranty from dealership, expecting it to be permanent solution

still there is some noise or tendency for the carb to jump out of its place on start. Expecting a service bill of 1k, will post the service details once I get it done.
                        Regards,
                        GinsB.

Everyone suggests that this is suicidal as incase where the pressure is very high, it should come out as a safety measure.

The bill was around 1k and they charged R 100 for consumables inclusive .They changed the oil on 4th service which I had agreed to

Safety measure? Sir imagine the carburetor popping out when youre Overtaking a truck at 80kph on a single lane highway with a car approaching you on the opposite side.

Most motorcycles have metal clamps holding on to the rubber!
