Mine is a 2015 model astral blue, within a span of 6-8 months I noticed cracks on both the sides of my tank panel near the bolt areas and even on the instrument console.
I immediately contacted the dealer and he clicked some pictures of the cracks and assured me for the panel and meter console replacement. The tank panels were replaced within 15-20 days but the instrument console replacement took around 2 months.
Now in 2017 I one again found cracks on my left tank panel, but the right panel and instrument console is all right.

As your bike is 3 years old and is out of warranty period I doubt yamaha will entertain this issue. Still you may contact your dealer regarding this issue.

Has anyone tried a 55/60w bulb on their fzs fi?
I heard about this and a friend of mine installed it on his fz -s.. And when he uses the headlight sidelight and horn together .. The bike fuse blew off ... So he had to replace the fuse .. So to solve that he used a little thicker fuse fire .. That also burnt off ... So he then bought a relay of some sought and fixed that ..and I guess it's working now ..but he says its not that great of a upgrade ..

Thanks for the info, it seems that bikes nowadays come with electrical systems and batteries which are loaded to their full potential so there is no space for adding extra lights or horns.

I think 35w led will be the best option but i really dont like the white light.

            I personally use the
"OSRAM RALLYE (BILUX® HS1) 12V 45/40W " on my FZS-FI V2.0...its a good upgrade from the stock 30/35 bulb. It has a good focus and has a higher luminous index (suerly much brightef then stock) .. Obviously u have to adjust ur headlight properly for best results ... If u don't mind spending 120rs on it .. Then do try it out .. Its available on amazon ..I got mine from amazon for 110rs ..and its a direct fit no relays no blown fuse uptill now 6 months past ...

                  Hey XBHP !!
I was stalking the thread from past 2-3 months !
I bought new FZ 2.1 or FZ 2.0 whatever they call it, 2 months back. First servicing is done, next service is due in first week of november !

As you people are very experienced, if anyone can spare some time and tell me what should i look for while taking it to service center (Perfect Riders - Jay Nagar, Bangalore).

                  - Engine Oil - Should i use the Yama Lube or ask the service guy to put Motul in it, if Motul, can you please tell me which number should i go for - ex 20-50 ! My daily ride completed around 45kms ! BTM to Whitefield.

                  - Headlights - i dont like the stock ones (yellowish), can you suggest which one should i get from amazon (whitish led), easily replaceable.

                  - Shockups - Bike makes a keeche keeche sound, not sure what causing it. Should i ask him to check or replace shockup oil ?

                  - Gear - While shifting gear, i feel like it has loose hands, gear shifting is pretty loose or may be its just me.

                  - Any advice while taking care of this new vehicle ! its my first vehicle in Bangalore (considering heavy traffic and pot holes)

                  thanks in advance !

Hey bro that's great news to hear that you joined FZS v2 family,
I'm also Bengalurian, first of all congratulations for ur new bike.

                      Coming to Service thing:
1.If you want warranty for your engine do not go for any other oils, use Yamaha lube, i think its okay-okay, i haven't faced any issues with that.

2.Even changing Headlight cause you to loose battery warranty ( it's your wish as the stock one is not capable enough to ride through dark roads).

3.You are lucky that your gear lever is free to Operate😂, i struggled a lot during my initial days of purchase.

                      4. My personal suggestions, visit Bangalore Wheels service centre in Rajajinagar than anywhere else since it is a oldest service centres in the city( i have been leaving my vehicle since one year)

                      Happy riding 😆

Has anyone tried fz25 rear view mirrors on fz ver 2.0? the stock one's are too commuterish, so i was thinking to replace them with the one's on fz 25 or any 3rd party option (but practical)?

Straightaway I can say that you taken every possible thing into consideration. You thought of increasing the output power before installing those LEDs. So hats off to you for that. Not every one thinks that deep before doing anything that can affect any internal parts. Awesome modifications. By the way how much did it cost you to rewind the windings of that stator? And can you share the necessary details like number of turns etc?

I am the customizer so lets not talk about the cost here.

                              I did 17 AWG, 25 TPP.

Thanks for sharing the details. Will try to do it. Not by myself though. I studied electronics & telecom. not electrical engg. So will leave this to the professionals. I'm guessing you are an electrical engineer. Pretty awesome man. I can't even think of fiddling with the electricals in my bike all by myself.
