Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's Ride Report
You'll be pleasantly surprised by the increased quality in the Zuma (coming from a D390). However, be prepared to sacrifice the acceleration, the rorty exhaust note & the rush of adrenaline that the D390 would give you, over the Zuma. On the positive side, the sheer quality, big bike feel & supple, stable ride will put a lot of smiles on your face. Not to mention, it is also a pretty quick commuter!Originally posted by roy_arnab22 View Post
The choice is clear - if you need a higher top speed, it should be CBR250R for you & the fairing / windscreen is an added bonus during touring. There are so many travelogues here that prove the reliability & durability of the CBR. However, if hassle free commuting, touring & two-up riding on a bike take prominence with bullet-proof quality, smooth & refined engine & excellent ride are your priorities, then it's a no-brainer with the Zuma. If you're willing to commit yourself to some sprocket-change in due course, you could opt for 16/44 combo (against the stock combo of 14/46) & your top-end gets a boost, with a little loss in initial acceleration.Originally posted by roy_arnab22 View Post
At top gear (6th), the conversion is 13.33 x 1k rpm (for every 1k rpm on the rev-counter). So, theoretical top speed is 149.33 kmph (with a 11200 rpm redline).Originally posted by aeykeyyes View Post

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's Ride Report
A little OT: what made me getting inclined towards Inazuma:
Thanks for the detailed explanation @raja_ghuru. I was never a CBR fan although it's a capable machine. So opted for D390. Did some 20K kms in last 11 months of ownership in D390 and my observation is:
1. D390 may be a hooligan but ridden with a ZMA many times and found that both reach the destination at the same time on a long ride. The number of fuel stops makes the power somewhat useless in case you want a quick mile munching machine.
2. There is so much knocking and jerking at below 5K rpm that it makes 390 one of the worst city commuter. It just loves highway.
3. FE on the odo display is a joke.
4. The refinement level is still at 'Hamara Bajaj' level. KTM sticker doesn't help much.
5. The light weight + wind blast + aggressive engine braking makes long tour a stressful affair. On race track these are actually positives. I felt exhausted on my last Bangalore-Kolkata-Bangalore trip in Feb'14.
6. I still don't feel it's a special bike which will stay with you for long time.
Inazuma= Benchmark of quality. We duke(read bajaj) owners especially feel that.Last edited by roy_arnab22; 11-03-2014, 06:54 PM.Chetak 1996 | Splendor 2000 | RTR160 2007 | R15 2010 | GT650n 2012 | KaTooM 390 2013

I really hope that they don't. This will dampen the sales that has just picked up. My fervent assumption is they would bring in a replacement.Originally posted by yatishankar View PostI am confused. Why SUZUKI india website doesnt have any details of the Inazuma? Have they decided to call it off?

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's Ride Report
probably yes, they might be bringing in semi faired one. but if u look closely on the price slash and the general attitude of showroom guys, I fear the other scenario where they are happy to do the market exit for gw250. lets see

Now this is bad if true. The semi-fared weighs 5-6 kg more although it looks better. And if they stop the model in India then god helps the existing owners for parts & service in future

just enquired the dealer (SMK suzuki) and he said that there is no news on stopping the model. assured that if thats the case then they would have known it earlier. also couple of other existing customers called him , not sure if they are reading this forumOriginally posted by roy_arnab22 View PostNow this is bad if true. Let's hope an update/facelift is under its way, or is it Indian GW250 owners' worst nightmare come true?

Yes, it could however also mean that they are killing off whatever little fan base they have in India. I think Suzuki wouldn't want that. Moreover, considering the (potential) onslaught of quarter liter bikes, it might be a move to bring in the semi or fully faired model.Originally posted by SparKot View PostWell, technically the page is still there, they've removed it from bikes(drop down list).

That said, it could well be a technical glitch too. I'd appreciate if Suzuki could bring in ECU remap for their existing customers. And more importantly, have all the necessary spares available, in adequate numbers.

ECU remap? Are you facing any problem with current performance?Originally posted by raja_ghuru View PostI'd appreciate if Suzuki could bring in ECU remap for their existing customers.

Don't take me wrong. The performance is adequate. It would however be a lot more desirable to have more power, considering the weight.Originally posted by Harisankar View PostECU remap? Are you facing any problem with current performance?

20 kg? I don't think so. However, we still have options in aftermarket, for ECU. Would be great if Suzuki supports its current owner base with performance parts, like how KTM does.Originally posted by roy_arnab22 View PostUsing a single aftermarket exhaust will save you 20kgs afaik.
