    It may be because of the new engine. Takes some time for the piston and rings to set in and build clearance. When you start the bike, go easy on the throttle for the first 1km. I have ridden my friend's Gixxer SF. He lets the bike idle for a atleast two minutes before riding. Helps to properly warm up the bike. I suggest you do that before shifting gears. Also, never leave the bike idle on choke.

    i am feeling, loss of power(it's not running as earlier) into 1st and 2nd gear.
    bike rides well after initial discomfort..
    what shall i do... mech says it is because of new piston....pls help

    I think you should be going for small rear sprocket for better top end. Bigger rear sprocket reduces top speed and increases acceleration.

    Gixxer and Gixxer SF share the same chain-sprocket kit. Actually, there is no kit for the Gixxer as the three components come seperately.

    Chain Assembly -> ( Part. No 27600-30H40-132 ) ( Rs. 576 ) ( R428, Non O-Ring, 132 Links )

    Drive Sprocket -> ( Part. No 27511-30H10-000 ) ( Rs. 311 ) ( aka Front/Engine Sprocket ) ( 15 Teeth )

    Driven Sprocket -> ( Part. No 64511-34J10-000 ) ( Rs. 399 ) ( aka Rear Sprocket ) ( 45 Teeth )

    Total Cost -> Rs. 1286/-.


    This is a cheaper alternative to the front sprocket from Bajaj which costs 93 instead of 311 for the stock Suzuki.

    Where can I find/source aftermarket sprocket/chain kit for Gixxer 155?
    As the stock rear have 45 teeth, I am looking for 46 or more for better top end for highway use.

    my mechanic has put semi synthetic oil. and said change it at 1000km... is it fine

    hi friends, today my pre owned 2015 model gixxer got new block & piston, old one gave up at 33k on odo. since i am second owner. now that i have invested around 8k on bike. my concern is anyone who has rebuilt engine can pls share the guidelines on how to take care of bike after block replacement.
    I have changed following
    block & piston
    valves
    timing chain
    clutch kit
    chain spockets
    left side switch assembly
    these are major changes, other small stuffs also.
    experience riders pls feel free to give ur inputs.

    Don't go for OSRAM 35/35 Silverstar, they don't last long, plus are Made in China. Get yourself the Philips Blue Vision they are decent and have slightly higher beam throw.
