I personally did not find much difference as compared to Motul 7100 too.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I have personally tried the 10w30 and 15w50 versions of the same 5100 Motul oil in my 155 naked gixxer 2017 model. I tried 10w30 during winter and 15w50 in summer. Both are good and smoother than the idemitsu one. Mileage didn't get affected by them. However, I do feel pickup of the bike had reduced a bit for 15w50.Originally posted by kuulbhaskar View Post

Theres no lag. Cold starts are not a hassle and if you are semi-performance oriented you can really hone your throttle control skills.
- No fuel reserve knob on/off/reserve and choke, as it's Fi fuel pump based fueling. You can't/shouldn't run the bike till empty fuel tank.
- Bike will behave exactly same at all altitudes with fueling, no hiccups or gasping due to lack oxygen and running rich.
- Result being better combustion and slightly fuel efficient and more linear sharp power delivery as mentioned already.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Carb versions are easy to service and repair in case of any emergency, compared to the Fuel pump on FI. I'll prefer the carb version any day.

I have a fi variant gixxer sf and when i compared it with my friend's carb variant i don't find much difference except a slight increase in throttle response and mileage on fi.Originally posted by ayrus View PostIs there any difference between FI and carb variants of the Gixxer??

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Seeking response from experienced riders.
I changed my rear stock Tyre (Odo read 26.k kms) with same make & specification and skipped front Tyre change as it had 5k kms of juice left. Odo now reads 31k and I'm on a hunt of new front Tyre which gives me better grips in day to day riding as well long trips to mountains and bad patches.
In recent trip to Sankri/Yamunotri/Chamba (done long touring before and faced similar situations) there were times, while applying front breaks, I was under-confident on surfaces with wet sand, sudden patches of broken road during hairpin bends & newly constructed roads which had fine gravels left carelessly (not complaining of hard work put by fellow countrymen in building these road).
Expansion of roads from Rishikesh under Char-Dham yojana threw some real riding test into play and patience as well which made my realize, 20%-25% extra grip from front wheels would give more composed handling, cornering and ditch undue risks of skidding or wheel-lock scare.
Suggestion welcome for:
- Similar price range, don't mind paying 20%-25% extra over MRF Tyre
- 20%-25% more grip then stock Tyre
- Softer compound may come with reduced life span, I'll go with safety
- My Gixxer only has front disc and I've to rely on them

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
The front sprocket, rear sprocket and the chain, all have different part numbers. You can buy the whole kit if you want or you can buy individual parts. If the showroom is telling you they cant sell individual parts, then send a complain to suzuki.Originally posted by cbzee View PostAnyone from Kerala here bought chain sprocket kit recently? Does it comes as a kit or shall we buy it as separate parts? I heard the showroom guys are only selling it as a kit.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I am not expert to tell you the performance depends upon engine oils. I have completed 3 full month on it but the mileage is only 2750 since the last oil change. Going to change to Ecstar R5000 tomorrow.Originally posted by Angurj View PostOh okay then. How many kms with Shell AX7? Feedback pls?
