My bike's front disc is heating up too much but the disc pads seems to be ok to me..what could be the other reason?
Wheel feels slightly heavier too while rotating it free hand in neutral gear!!

Yes nighteye bulb has been tremendous on various occasions. I see @Angurj used a nighteye bulb as well but like he said his type of bulb behaves very bad in high beam situation. Use this bulb to avoid that and to reduce blinding the incoming traffic to a minimum level.

I bought the bulb from this seller and see my review on product page. Its the one with the images.

PS: NightEye is rebranded as NovSight now.

Guys i've been wondering about upgrading my battery to a 5Ah one. My doubt is Gixxer comes with 12V3Ah battery and upgrading this would overload the rectifier and maginto kit by constantly working hard to recharge the battery.

My reason about thinking of this upgrade is to add 2 LED 10W (20W total) Fog lights to my bike and by supplying direct current from battery to the bulbs will drain the 3Ah battery soon. Because mine comes with AHO and it would be trouble some if i don't get enough juice to start the self start motor in traffic stop and go situations.
No reviews with images seen on the product page link

Guys, I have a question.

Does 55W/60W halogen bulb fade my reflector if I use them only at night (going to place a switch for cutting AHO)?
My night travelling time is 15 min daily and 3-5 hrs on weekends.

situations.
Mine nighteye leds installed on jan 18 same as used by Angurj have started to flicker and one side of the led has died, so after my research i have found that it flickers only when bike is in idle that means the voltage coming from the alternator used in our bike doesnt give enough voltage to power up the leds as stock voltage flow is made to run halogen bulbs and not leds. I dont know of its the same in non aho model.
The solution to this problem is to install a ballast/driver which is nothing but a set of capacitor to give constant voltage to leds.
Thus if you are going to buy a next retro fit led headlight do buy a led with driver it won't give a problem. Another solution is to cut the wire from the engine and giving it power directly from the battery.

Also please take a note to those who have already installed check the LEDs when engine is on idle if it flickers even a slight it gonna die soon. Also you can buy the driver separately and install it to get a flicker less leds !!

Also talking about your 10w x2 fog lights it won't cause enough battery drain if you install it on 3ah battery as i had installed 20w x2 fog lamps on the same where i took the power directly from ignition wire and not from battery as if you connect directly via. Battery then its gonna light light up even when your ignition is turned off .
So dont connect directly to your battery its gonna drain no matter you use 3ah or 5ah.

Change disk pad and disk brake fluid.
But i am hearing screeching noise from front disk and the front brakes remain applied all the time as i can see the rear light glowing all the time
what would be the issue?

Hi All,

I own a 2018 Gixxer Special Edition, done with it's 3rd service/8000 KMs. I am completely unsatisfied with the throw that the headlight bulb gives. I commute 30KM one way on the Outer ring road of Bangalore from Office to Home. Very troublesome in rains. So planning to shift to LED lights. Few questions below. Would greatly appreciate some inline answers if possible.

Does the Nighteye bulb cause problems to the electrical system and the battery?
Is there any problem using this bulb with AHO feature? I am skeptical having this all day feature with an LED lamp.
There are many versions of this Nighteye available in Banggood and Aliexpress. Which should I go for? H4 socket?
What capacity in terms of Lumens should I choose?
Does this void the warranty?
Any chance I can buy a single piece instead of a pair?
I have 2017 gixxer with AHO too.

Bought H4 Nighteye LED from Ali Express and using it for more than 2 months.

No. The electric warranty will not void. It is safe.

AHO is not a problem for LEDs. LEDs emit very low heat, so this is not a problem at all.

For lumens, it depends in you. I bought the 9000 (4500 per bulb) lumens version for 1950 Rs (pair of 2). Saw some another variant at higher lumens for 26xx Rs. But that is too costly for me.

Nighteye sells them in pair because they're made for cars primarily it seems. The only way to get a single bulb is when someone sells it separately in some trusted site or your friend has an extra. (One of my friend's friend bought my other bulb).

Coming to the bulb:

The brightness is awesome. Even in roads with halogen street lights I can see my bike's light on the road. In dark roads, the bulb is awesome. I have a very different experience of night riding. The road gets illuminated veey well, even the trees on the sides.

Low beam is very good. But in high beam, the throw range is good, but the beam doesn't spread (infact very bad), the light is just a spot at a long distance from you.

To be more clear, with the stock bulb, I can confidently take high speed corners at night with the high beam as the high beam spread is much better than the low beam spread in stock bulb. But with this LED, it's not upto the mark as the high beam doesn't even illuminate the area where the tar ends on the road (when I drive half way on the left lane in a typical two lane city road). The high beam is just a ball of light thrown exactly in a straight line to you. This is because of poor reflector design or the reflector is not designed to use LED lights [emoji29]

Now coming to blinding oncoming traffic:

Yes. You will need multiple adjustments to fix what you need that doesn't affect oncoimg traffic. Now my current setting is almost zero (assume that on a scale of 10, I have set it at 2) which I find ok for me and the oncoimg traffic. (Still few vehicles presses the pass button asking me to lower my beam, but since this is a high lumen bulb the reflector area gets over bright, so eventually the other will notice only a bright spot of light approaching towards them).

I'm attaching a couple of pics (in fact the only pics) I have on my light. And some pics of the bulb.

One more thing is the light comes in a triangular body. This has its own effect in the high beam throw pattern.Click image for larger version

Basic checks:

1. Battery output
2. Carbon deposition
3. Spark plug clean

Rain can play spoiler to some electrical parts/wiring, ask SVC guys to inspect thoroughly.
