Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Check your speed with a GPS app. The difference in speed between the GPS value and bike speedo should be within 10%. If its way more than that, then either your speedo sensor has gone bad or the calibration has gone off.Originally posted by djcena View PostFor My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Fellow Bikers,
Lately i've been facing an issue with my bike self start. When i try to crank it up, it starts with the sound as if it's about to start and all of a sudden sound changes to
as if there is a dead battery. I don't see an issue with the battery as all the electrical's work as expected (horn, headlight, indicators).
Any one facing/faced similar issue?
Is this an issue of a battery where it's not able to supply enough power to start the engine?
If so is there an alternative solution rather than changing the battery?
2014 Naked Model, current battery is the stock one.

Your battery life is ending and since it has served you 5 faithful years, you should change it in yours and the bike's best interest.Originally posted by Super_Sayan View PostFellow Bikers,

The hiccup just means that the battery is not able to take the load anymore. Premature signs of a battery giving up. No other alternative solution than changing to a new battery.

Good luck on booking the bike. Do a proper PDI before taking the delivery, that's the only thing you need to keep in mind as of now.Originally posted by shas0408 View PostGuys, I booked Gixxer 2019 Naked version today, expecting delivery including RTO registration by 8th October.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Bought a used 2016 model Gixxer sp in the month of March. Changed the oil to shell ax7 10w 40 and replaced the rubber seals on the head cover as the oil was leaking
And coming to the mileage
When riding at 60-65 i got close to 55kmpl and on a recent 600 km ride FE was limited to 40kmpl at the speeds of 85-90kmph.Yamaha fzs (2009-2012)||Honda unicorn(2012-2013)|| Hero karizma R (2013 - 2016)||Honda CBR 250R(2016)||Honda Hornet(2016-Present)

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello fellow gixxer owners,
Recently my dual disc gixxer (2017) is having some problems with the rear wheel. It seems to wobble slightly at speeds above 70kmph. I took it to suzuki service but they said its non existent. It is very light so probably they cant fix it. Can you guys help me in what should I get checked to be sure of this issue. Also, can you guys tell me how much the rear disc-plate runs before giving up?
Also, I am thinking of going on a road trip. It would be about 600KM. Can you guys tell me what are things that I should check before the trip and what are the things I should keep in mind.
Thank You.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
For starters, check the rear wheel bearings (there are 2) and the sprocket bearing for play. The swingarm collar/bush and needle bearings should be checked too. At this time of 'checking', re-grease all bearings especially the swingarm bush/needle. If any of them are worn, replace. Both the axle and swingarm nuts should be tight.Originally posted by Johnty View PostRecently my dual disc gixxer (2017) is having some problems with the rear wheel. No general answer. It depends on the type of use. Bikes used exclusively in the stop-and-go city traffic will wear out their discs early. Bikes used for lazy highway runs will even log a lakh kilometers before the disc needs replacement. To find out whether the disc needs a replacement, one has to find the thickness of the disc at several places in the brake pad contact area. If this is less than the number (e.g., 3.5 mm) stamped on the disc, replace.Originally posted by Johnty View PostAlso, can you guys tell me how much the rear disc-plate runs before giving up?Last edited by ashwanth.r; 09-30-2019, 05:51 PM.
