My Stock battery lasted for 4.10 years... instead of directly going to shop i would recommend to book your battery online on Amaron web site. Amaron will redirect to https://www.batterywale.com/. I have replaced it last week and got it for Rs.978 (installation is free, opt for cash on delivery.).... Checked for the price in couple of shops and have seen quotes between Rs.1140 to Rs.1400 in Hyderabd.

Once you book a battery, you will receive a call from nearby battery shot in the area (your choose area while booking). Take your bike and get it replaced. Not a single rupee more than what is quoted online by the site. this includes free installation.

    Thank you everyone.
you can install a foot rest but that would fit on the swing arm which is not safe. This is a design issue with gixxer all models. I have fitted a foot rest but my wife always complains about her feet getting hurt while driving on not so smooth roads.

That is a great info. Unfortunately, for me the price is same as offline store.

Does Gixxer has a 3ah battery capacity or 4ah? The manual say 3AH. But what does the 4L in battery model APBTZ4L mean?

Any idea why my battery dies in just 2yrs 9 months? I have added no light mods. Everything is stock.

        Gixxer's uses a 3ah battery.
        Amaron Model: Amaron ABR-PR-APBTZ4L ( 3 Ah )

Can't comment on the battery life as it's a maintenance free battery so, i haven't taken any special care of it.
FYI - i always park by bike in shaded parking only even if it means me walking quite a bit.
Parking your vehicle outside in direct sun/rain could effect the battery performance.... not sure though

          Dear all,

I am having a few issues with the handling of my bike and the battery.

          Kms ridden : 29000 kms Age : 3.5 years

I had an accident a few months back, for which there was a replacement of the forks since they had got bent and a number of other changes. Post that I have done about 200 kms and I genuinely feel a bit woobly on my handlebar when travelling at lower speeds - the instability does not give confidence at all especially on roads which are bad. Feedback from brakes also seem to be an issue. Also, the handling , which was so precise even when I had the accident (the irony!), has taken a huge hit. It seems I seriously dont know the bike that I have been riding merrily since the last 2 years or so.

My rear tyre has many punctures (5-6 points), is that the reason why I am having this instability ?
What is the typical timeline that the stock tyres last ?
What is the reason behind the handle bar instability ?

          Really lost.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

Do you use self start Everytime? I have heard that if you use self start Everytime you start the bike especially during morning, your battery life reduces!!

I used kick start in the morning during the initial couple of weeks during the break-in.

However, then i rarely used it and used only self start. I know the battery life do get reduced because of this as the battery charge-discharge cycle is increased but my battery did not even last 3 years. I think that's too much.

Your battery might still be under warranty. Go to the ASC and let them know. And electric start doesnt reduce battery life.....

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

My front wheel disc got jammed and when I showed it to a local mechanic he told me that it because of an alloy bent. He said it cannot be straightened up and asked to buy a new one. I inquired the price at Aditya Automobiles Coimbatore and they quoted 4k

I Googled online but couldn't find any relevant stores to purchase. Does anybody have any experience in replacing alloy wheels?

2 days before i have changed the front sprocket and swing arm bush. After the work, in meter console the speed fluctuate too much. It's actually 4km difference. For example when i going in 55km/hr suddenly it will show 51km/hr.. then it shows 55km/hr. And this cycle continues throughout the ride. To fix this today i have cleaned sensor area inside the front sprocket box . But the issue not resolved. The front sprocket was the same 15t.
