this is the oil pack ABT Suzuki showed me ( 20W40 ) priced at Rs. 270/-....initially thought it was scooter oil, but saw the word 'motorcycle' on the front. is this manufactured by Idemitsu?. is this mineral or semi-synthetic? is this the suzuki recommended oil for their other motorcycles?....GS150R, slingshot, hayate?. please clarify.

Lack of engine kill switch is really a serious issue in emergency. Rest we can't expect a 155 cc bike go @110 kms/h stresslessly.

              1. You need to look at label on the other side of that bottle for Manufacturer/Producer info. It's apparently from Idemitsu and JASO certified.
              2. Going by the price-tag of ₹ 270/- , I reckon it's mineral oil.
              3. 20w40 is the most generic grade recommended for motorcycles in Indian sub-continent. So, yes gs150r, slignshot & hayate can use this oil.

To those worrying about fully synthetic oils for your gixxer, I have the following observations: my cbr250 is running happily on mineral oil for the past 4000 kms. So I don't think mineral would harm your 150 any more than it would harm my 250.

Hmmm the gixxer can do 120 in stock form, hornet not too sure.. But your right, but still gotta pull too 110 ,115 and also heard people of feeling decreased performance and other issues... Thats why,

Hey guys did anyone find out solution to chain problem .too much sound is still coming in 4th & 5th gear from chain most probably. Suzuki mechanic & my dealer in dehradun are very bad & not listening to the problem at all. I have filled & sent feedback form to company .but there is no response .there is no email of company nor any customer care number. What am I suppose to do other than a court case which is a last option .

Do you hear the noise in the chain itself or near the front sprocket, if the bike is new with new chain and sproket it will make noise until one or two cleaning and lubrication is done,I experience this every time when I change a new set of chain and sprocket and the noise goes down gradually, if it is near the front sprocket see where and ask the people in the service center ortake it to a different service center if one is not responding or consult with one or two local mechanics in you locality and ask them where the sound is coming don't ask them to fix it.if possible take the mechanic with you as a pillion and ride and ask him why the sound is coming, usually local mechanics are better in finding issues than the people in the service center. usually mechanics get trained in the service centers and then open their own shop.

Yes I have done it. I had a Xenos kit which I installed. You can probably find on Ebay/Amazon.

Is anyone using Motul 300V 10w40 engine oil? If so kindly share your experience on Gixxer.
