Yes. It could happen with regular cloth also.
SILENCER and area nearby engine are very hot while running rhe bike.
So dont put any cloth or other material that could burn due to heat.

How are the vibrations? i find that the bike has more vibrations after the first service was done, before that the vibrations weren't even that noticeable.

          • Is Nov, Dec a good time to buy a bike?

Hey guys.. I'm planning on moving on from my fz to rc200..

I just wanna check if Nov, Dec is the right time to buy a bike. I got my fz in Nov 2013 n I'm planning to sell it before 2016. Ktm said they are not gonna get a newer version of rc yet.. Neither the bike graphics gonna change. So, nothing's gonna change by Jan..

Please let me know if I can go for it or should I wait until Jan. I got to know that the RTO rules r changing from Jan n the registrations gonna happen within the showrooms itself. That's the only takeaway for me to wait till 2016. Please suggest.

              Hi guys,

Do we have a workaround for helmet locks ?? like how do you guys lock your helmets with the bike?

              Cheers.

I don't because i don't want someone to vandalize my helmet. But if you want buy a helmet lock and lock the helmet somewhere like the chassis or handlebars.

well January is just a month away,so not much of a wait, but make sure the RTO Price wont be going up because of the showroom registration.

Ktm is all set to unveil the updated version of the duke in the auto expo in october 2016. I dont know about the rc but the duke will be unveiled. If you can wait then wait, but I am confident that sales wont begin before mid 2017

hey, just curious, what's the distance you guys get on your bike from a tank full till it reaches reserve?

I get about 250 KMs from a full tank till it hits reserve..

                        Hi guys
Could please help me on getting orange assist in Bangalore. The display is throwing a warning signal of high coolant temperature when I start the bike and the ignition just doesn't happen. Seems like some switch/relay issue...

depends , weekday usage tends to leave the number at less than 240-250 however weekend riding usually puts it around 250-270

just open the hatch infront of fuel tank & check the battery connection.

I cannot find out if it is radiator issue as I cannot start the engine. But, radiator fan had a lot of work to do when I last used it. Traffic gets worsened in these annoying drizzles. I am not sure if that is the issue. But, according to the SVC guy, it is a problem which has been noticed earlier and it mainly due to faulty wires or relays which somewhat confirmed my initial assessment. Anyways, I try to search for any loose connections again today. Lets hope that I could find them and correct it my selves.

did u try to start in second gear ? push & start ?
well last month even i faced the same issue,my bike wasn't starting no matter what, then i took it to a local mechanic who tightened the wires connecting the battery & then it started.later i got it fixed properly in SVC.
Previously i have changed my radiator fans twice.

P.s If u have warranty take it to SVC.
