Can you file a case against that guy? To recover the costs + legal fees.

Case has been registered, will get the hospital expenses, bike repair expenses, compensation from the Cars insurance.

I don't think Fuel line should be changed so early,Even Throttle body should be fine.
Brake pad's -let them check for wear if fine condition just get pads cleaned it can be changed afterwords.
Don't know about labor cost as it depends on your SVC but shouldn't cost much.

I completed my service on Saturday.

Opening of the Fairing was a tedious task for my particular mechanic since he hasn't opened it before. That Saturday had extra RS200s for servicing and the usual Rs200 mechanic was busy.
I haven't seen any DIYs videos on youtube regarding opening of the full fairing but two mechanics were involved in loosening screws that had to be accessed from the handlebar area with an extended tool bit.

Anyways They replaced my air filter, which was totally caked with black dirt! As mentioned by many other owners, please dont wait for your 15k servicing to change the Filter, do it at 10k or even earlier.
I had also told them to replace the fuel filter but this service center, as usual, dint have the filter in stock. Now i will have to wait till the next servicing .
Everything else was checked and cleaned, like the brake pads, battery etc and it was all good to go.I insisted on motul 7100 20w50 oil and they poured it infront of me, but to my luck again they repeated their mistake from the last service. They dint charge me for the full systhetic oil, charged me for the baja DTSi oil.So i ended up saving 600rs.

The only issues with my servicing was the improper assembly of the fairing. There is some metallic sound, like a loose metal piece(screw or washer) thats jingling around somewhere inside the fairing. It makes a racket at those RPMs where most RS200 get their vibes(4.5k rpm and 6.5k rpm)
Now i have to go back and get this issue sorted out since on Saturday my bike was handed over at 5.30 and i had no time to wait another hour or so for them to reassemble it.

Coming to the performance of the bike, after the air filter change you can feel that engine feels more rev friendly and bike pulls better. I am quite happy with my bike but as usual bajaj service is a big letdown. Cant blame the mechanics since they are overloaded with the large amount of bike that come for servicing.

Thanks for your help and happy motoring!

Bro... Couldn't you go for a total loss.. I mean the frame and all are messed up right... It'd have been far better to get the max cash from insurance and then ask the car guy to compensate for new bike.. Anyway.. Glad you're getting better.. Peace

I need a small help, my front break oil cap cover is damaged and want to replace it. I'm from tambaram, chennai and enquired in all nearby bike service centres. They said its not available. Could you please help me where to get this cap cover?

Sir if you are not getting an OEM brake oil reservoir cover then you can install a fancy after reservoir cover though. It will even enhance the look. In ebay.in you can find such stuffs.

^ Hope the image is just for reference as It looks like stock CBR cover by looking at Holes.

Look for 200ns/as/rs 220s/f even avenger front master cylinder cap/Reservoir Cover as they use same type cap.
Otherwise go for Aftermarket ^as Wilson specified.

After breaking my head over rs vs dominar debate , finally ended up with rs200 graphite black only due to mileage figures which for now matters to me. but now this is unacceptable.. any other people here have issues like these with the rs200 ?

                            1. Bike turning off randomly when I pull IN clutch.
                            2. No acceleration in the first 3 gears, particularly below 6K RPM.
                            3. ABS light glowing once I ride over 60kmph. (This problem started after a recent service in January 2017.

Currently my bike has an ODO reading of 22,000+ KM. I've been riding my bike with issues 1,2 since 10,000KM.

When I try to accelerate the bike "chokes". It's like there is an issue with air or fuel supply

I had air/fuel filter changed 2 times in the last one month.

                            Using Motul 7100

Last night, I'm on full throttle at 5k RPM, 6th gear and bike is hovering at 70-71kmph. As though tthere is a speed lock.

I've had 6 visits to the service center since June 2016... I'm close to giving up on the bike...

                            Any suggestions?
may be he is the only one, anyways, any 2017 buyers here?hows the graphite black edition? i really love the color on that bike.

Have faced the stalling issue for about 3 months now.

Now the bike doesn't even idle properly. Randomly shuts off when the clutch is pulled in. Also refuses to start in a single crank when hot. Needs at least 3 cranks to get it going.

I have already complained to svc they said they'll fix it once the new stepper motor arrives (2nd stepper motor for my bike, already replaced once).

Also the jerking/choking/hiccups below 4K RPM is present in my bike as well. Haven't found a solution to this yet despite replacing a lot of things.

I'll update you when and if my bike is called in for these issues to be sorted. Till then I just have to ride it like it is and hope that nothing else goes wrong.

Man that is scary , my pulsar 220 never gave a single issue from past 7 years !! Maybe Bajaj is just good at building carburator bikes as compared to fuel injected ones, I actually went for a test ride on my friends rs200 and the clutch was horrible, it felt very bad, it's hard to explain.. have you seen a truck fully loaded with stuff and the driver is just started to lift the clutch and the front does some sort of a bouncing effect? I've observed something like that on his bike.. I'm sure it's the pressure plates giving up on his bike, he's new to biking , I suspect he's riding his clutch or something..
