Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hello Everyone,
I hope everything is going good. I am here after quite a time, and was reading previous posts for over one hour. It seems there's a lot of talk regarding issues in our RS, but I think the newer batch don't have so much issues. Bajaj has quietly upgraded RS200 taking in inputs from the problems we have been facing and now the 2017 batch is even better.
As of now, I have clocked 13k kms in 13 months of ownership and now I'm planning to change my rear wheel. So, what are the brands should I go for?? Pirelli/Michelin/MRF (masseter) /metzellers? Should I go for 140?or stock size is the best? I need tyres which can be handle some offroading as well, though it happens twice/thrice in a quarter and I head towards mountains and I feel that need of extra grip over sand or ice or gravel. I hope you all understand what I am trying to say 🙈 I don't want that wobbly rear wheel when I ride over sand or dirt. Is this possible, or I'm expecting a totally different behaviour from my RS200??I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

..... You can upsize to 140 but as per my thinking i always prefer stock size......
I've upgraded both my tyres recently to Michelin Pilot Street Radial 110/70 R17 as front and Michelin Pilot Street Radial 130/70 R17 as rear. And trust me, these have awesome control.Last edited by Sharma Ji; 03-21-2017, 10:20 PM.

I'll certainly check these out. Do you have any feedback/reviews about the pirelli's (sport demons)?

I love sports demons , had tried it on my friends p220, man those tyres were so grippy, it gave me the best cornering experience on the p220. Can't really say for this bike though.Originally posted by Lone_Rider 0_o View PostThank you Brother

Yes, this is the real confusion! Michelin's pilot street and Pirelli's Sports Demons!!Originally posted by shriomman View PostI love sports demons , had tried it on my friends p220, man those tyres were so grippy, it gave me the best cornering experience on the p220. Anyone who could shed some extra light on the topic, it would be really helpful 😀🙌I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

Sport demons are bias-ply and pilot Street is radial. There is major difference in this. Please read about the difference. Here is a video https://youtu.be/UJJxSlls-tA

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Technically radial should be better, I know that radial sheds heat quickly but that's way too technical and for out bikes that don't cross 150 kmph it'll hardly make a difference in terms of temperatures, I'm a complete noob on this though,I could be wrong.Originally posted by Lone_Rider 0_o View PostYes, this is the real confusion! Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I use pirellis on the rear and Michelin on the front... Pirellis are real sticky and does awesome in cornering. But the thing is a bit puncture prone.. Soft compound I guess.. And the fronts... Michelins seem to last really long, but although I'm not sure if it's just me, I feel a little lack of grip in rain.. The abs gets active very often and although it saves from wheel lockup as we come in, as soon as the bike goes to speeds less than 10kmph abs is deactivated and hence front locks up and skids.. The thing is it reduces the speed to a very low before skidding but yet it skids.. And it's a bit hard to maneuver the bike even at low speeds due to the weight if it's skidding.. Please double check the wet grip of Michelins..
