I've observed something like that on his bike.. I'm sure it's the pressure plates giving up on his bike, he's new to biking , I suspect he's riding his clutch or something..
His clutch cable may be loose, tell him to get it tightened. If it still behaves the same, it may be the clutch plates as you said.

My bike is from the first few batches and it's known that these bikes do suffer from some minor niggles every now and then. The way you take care of your bike is what matters, my friend who bought a RS 200 3 months before me, his bike is in worse shape than mine, even though my bike is at the svc more than his ever was. He himself likes my bike more than his.

A few small issues like this is no big deal, even the big bikes suffer from these. What matters is the company's approach to fixing these issues and taking care of the customer. Unfortunately this is where our manufacturers are lacking, they think once the bike is sold, their job is done. I wonder if the people who bought the Dominar are being treated differently?

I take good care of my vehicles, and i tend to replace parts much before they're even spoilt , the p220's exhaust was one such case, same goes for chain and sproket (changed it every 10k kilometers , my friend changed after 20k ), that aside.

the Bajaj service center here in goa (Sitara Bajaj) is really good (speaking from past 7 years of visiting there), ive always recieved my bike on time or even before time on servicings, once the mechanic did some error and it resulted in oil leakage from the gaskit on the engine block, when i returned back with the issue, they actually completely fixed it free of cost ! (bike wasnt even in warranty at this time), so im very satisfied with the after sales service here in goa.

I do tend to give a good tip/bonus to the mechanic if hes done a good job, it definitely helps ! and man the guy who did the gasket error got a mouthful from me (in a polite way though) and i never gave the bike to service for that mechanic again. best is to get hold of one mechanic and always schedule the servicings with him, hes happy, im happy ! its a win win situation in my case. i can say with guarantee that my bike has been services for past 7 years by only 3 mechanics in ths bajaj service center.maintaining relations goes a big way. (my apologies for going way off topic, we should pm about this)

I like the seating position. I ride 25 km a day in traffic and 25km without traffic. The seating position and handle bar is perfect for both of them. The only con is the sound of the horn. Apart from that, it's everything I imagined it would be. I've had a pulsar 220 from 2009, this was a worthy upgrade.
There are no vibrations I could notice. As I'm in running-in the engine, haven't really revved the engine, but so far the build is really good.
Also, the lighting is crazy good!
Our stories are gonna be damn similar , i still have my 220 from 2009, getting the graphite black rs200 next month , now that you've owned it for long, how is your review ? tell me positives as well as negatives from your perspective

There is no issue with the fi of RS, some may get the defective one.

Hey guys.. So I was searching for a halo ring light (angel) the eye for our bike.. I wanted just the ring.. So. I don't have to mess up with the projectors... I couldn't find anything online usable for our bike(60mm).. Except one, which was overpriced and blue in color.

So I thought of building one.. Took me 3..4 hours to build it.. But finally did it.. It really looks good.. I'll attach pics

Nice and Neat job man !i wonder if we can make a totally independent connection to it with a 9 volt battery hidden inside the fairing, thinking about this only due to warranty reasons actually..i do love the red angel eyes on a black bike l

No dude... You don't have to cut wires... U see.. There's the connector for the pilot lamps right.. Just strip a wire of good length.. And then unplug the connector socket.. Push this wire into the side of the female pin.. And re plug it. It should stay nice and tight... And insulate the whole thing... And I have used 4 leds in series to make a 3v drop across each.. If you are using a 9v, you should use 3 leds in series... But I wonder if it would be any good to use battery.. It'd be weird in the long run.. Changing batteries regularly

Heh, I guess you're lucky to have a good SVC that listens to you.

As I've said the engine is very reliable, I've never had any other issue than these small ones. The bike has never stranded me and it's never ever felt short of my expectations.
It's these small niggles that have bothered me but since it's from the first batch I guess it's expected.

I haven't seen any new owners complaining about issues like these so it's safe to say whatever the problem was it has been fixed in the newer models.

I'd still recommend this bike to someone, but I'd also warn them about the after sales service. Cheers.

So my bikes problems are all resolved now. Turns up the ABS wiring had to be changed and Fuel pump replaced. Everything was done under warranty.

Ive had issues with acceleration etc for the last 6 months. It got fixed last week. Apart from that no real issues. I get a mileage of about 30kmpl with city riding. Enjoying my rides the last few days as it's good as new with the fuel pump change

so i happen to read more reviews about the bike here regarding the 2017 models.
This is what grabbed my attention more

" the 199.5cc liquid-cooled motor gets revised software maps and an updated Bosch ECU for optimum combustion."

so now the power delivery must have differed !!, anyone with existing rs found any differences with the new rs ?
