    Hi guys,
If there are any electrical specialists here , I need some help. I want to mount 2 aux lights which are 40 w each (LEDs) drawing between 3.5 and 4 Amps. My battery is 12v 8 Ah. The headlight high is 12v 60 W and Low 12v 55 W. The position lamp and taillight come on when ignition Is switched on. They are 12v 5W each. When you start the engine the low beam comes on (always on mode).
Apart from this I have a Bolt USB charger installed which I use on long trips.
Now my question is will the battery be able to handle the additional two aux lights? These of course, will be connected directly to the battery as cutting or splicing the existing wires will make the warranty invalid.
I am still to figure out where to mount the aux as there is no space in the handle bar with the Bolt, Mobile holder and the windshield ( on the way).

My bike is undergoing the 4th service. It is supposed to be done at 12k or 1 yr. I have done 8k in it. The svc is insisting on changing the spark plugs and I didnt argue with them as the warranty is still in place. But arent spark plugs supposed to last a very long time? Changing at even 12k seems really short duration. My Honda City has just completed and it still is on the original ones, probably will change in the next one though.

Kochi had a Benelli service camp from 3rd to 5th. There were discounts on labour, spares and oil and free wash too....I managed a free chain cleaning and lubricating also. There was a Benelli representative for the service camp. You get a small gift comprising of a Diary, Pen and a pendrive. Pendrive has some pics and videos of the Leocino and TRK 502 and some other info like the new service schedule etc.

The TRK 502 looks good. Its being launched in the first half of next year. I am seriously thinking of moving to 502 if the pricing is good.

I too bought a presworshipped TNT300 that needs servicing.. I called up the service center for service appointment. They said it’s mandatory to change them and they cost 370 something. I am thinking that it’s only 2 months and after that my motorbike is going to be out of warranty. Should I give in or not to go for it. Did you get to change yours?

Warranty is for 1 year or 2 years?
In conditions like ours, it is ok to change the spark plugs.
I did it on my 220 around 2 months ago to NGK after the total age of the bike was 3.5 years and just 15k kms.
In a high compression ratio engine, I guess the spark plugs do undergo a lot of stress.

I didnt want to take a chance as my bike is just a year old and has an extended warranty, so another 3 yrs to go. Each spark plug costs around 1 k ...!! I had to change all 4 , but since it was a special service camp, there was a discount of about 15% on the bill...

Dayum, thats a lot of moolah for a spark plug. One more thing, would they be okay if I buy spark plug from Amazon and as them to fix it? Thanks for your reply Sir!

I doubt it ....You need to check with the svc center...I think they will insist you have to buy them to ensure warranty continuation.

                    Hi Fellow Riders,

I recently purchased a Mid 2017 pre owned TNT 600i (ABS) this week. I had a few questions which I am certain you all can answer. This is my first middle weight sports bike and I have been riding a Dominar for the past 2 years. Kindly help:

                    1. The temperature gauge as expected goes up pretty quick into the 90s when in the city. I dont expect it to be low, I know its not meant for traffic. However my question is, does anyone have an idea when the bike shuts off? I just need to know so I can take some preemptive action the next time it is going to overheat.
                    2. The clutch lever feels awfully far. Maybe my hands are small! Can you guys suggest a reliable brand for adjustable levers?
                    3. What is the battery life on average?
                    4. The bike currently has IXIL exhaust installed. Does it have any adverse effect on the bike? Is it advisable to stick to stock exhausts? They sound great but I would not want to have them on at the cost of the health of the bike.
                    5. I will get this problem checked soon but would like your opinion on it - with the engine off, whenever I turn the handlebar to the right and peddle the bike backwards out of my parking I can hear a very noticeable groaning sound. This does not happen when i push the bike forwards with the handlebar in the right position. Any thoughts? The previous owner did have some work done to the front forks as admitted by him before giving me delivery.
                    6. Loads of play in the front brake lever. Nearly 30% of the pull seems to have no effect after which I can feel the brakes working perfectly. I saw in reviews that this is normal in Benellis. Is it?

Except for the 5th point I am absolutely loving the feel as of now. Its quick and feels well put together. Next to no vibrations which is pleasant. My only gripe is with the switchgear quality which is below average. But then its not at all a deal breaker.

Congratulations ! ! I too ride a preowned 2017 ABS. Been almost year on it now... The temp do goes up in the city...My bike has not shhut down even at 92. I have not noticed it going beyond that mark so far. The clutch is a bit heavy and bit too far...its the same with all 600, but I used to ride a Avenger before, so I am kind of used to heavy clutch. Battery should stay 3 years if the bike is ridden regularly, mine is a weekend rider so I hope it stays atleast 2 years. Ixil , I heard reduces mileage to some extent, and if you are riding for a few hours, it can be irritable....but then thats personal....Some states like here in Kerala, the cops are cracking down on after market exhausts and Aux lights. Havent experienced the groaning sound so far....

                        Hi Vnsk,

Thanks for replying. The groaning sound is coming from a misalligned front brake pad. I shall get it rectified this weekend. Thankfully its just misalligned in such a way that it it only obstructs when the bike is pushed back. Any thoughts on the large amount of play in the brake lever? Its quite a bit. I saw in a Youtube review as well that its a lot, but I was wondering what I can do to reduce it.

I took it for a highway run this past weekend and absolutely loved the sound. Rode close to 120 kms. Mileage is also decent for a bike of these dimensions. I calculated I got about 18 kmpl which is within my expectations. Anything miscellaneous I should keep a check on. Kindly advise. Like I mentioned, this is my first foray into the sportsbike category.

Just check the tyre pressure and the coolant level regularly.....And of course, you need to clean and lubricate the chain around every 750 kms....I use Kerosene when its available for cleaning otherwise use Motul for cleaning and lubricating.

Hi all, I need some help urgently -I am looking for a Dark Smoke visor for my HJC helmet...The part no: of the visor is HJC HJ 07. Its not available in Kochi anywhere and someone can help out or let me know where it is available, it will be great.

                            Hi,

Yes I am lubing the chain at the intervals you proposed. I need some help in procuring an online version of the bike manual. The previous owner seems to have lost it. I need it for the basic stuff. Fir example I am not even sure about the tyre pressure to be maintained. The previous owner said 35 and 40 PSIs up front and at the back but I would like to confirm these things from the manual.

Thanks a ton brother. You have been monumental in understanding the basics of the bike. I will maintain air pressure as recommended. One last question for the week. The battery is supposed to be 12 V 8 Ah. Do we have batteries like Amaron and Exide which come in these specs which can "fit" in the bike? Or do I have to go in for some imported brand when the time for replacement comes?

If any other riders have changed their batteries, kindly provide your feedback on this. Thanks.
