Coming to my point, I am looking for a long distance touring machine for weekend travelling with my wife. And let me put it straight that seating ergonomics and pillion comfort top the list of my priorities (I am sure all married guys would agree to this point). Adding to that, I need a reliable machine with decent amount of torque and power. Looks and build quality are also there in the list. After doing some research, I narrowed upon two bikes specifically, the versys 650 and the benelli 600 GT, given that my budget is strictly bounded above by 8 lacs. On road prices are 8 lacs for versys and 7.49 lacs for the GT. Please express your suggestions regarding which bike would be a better fit for me given my priorities and budget.

PS: I am posting this query in this thread since it has far more members than the GT thread. TIA.
Mate, both are good bikes. Versys has higher torque compared to GT. So, initial pull at low gear is better compared to GT. However, GT has a 27l tank. Fuel stops for GT will be less. Power delivery is linear for GT and of course its an inline 4. Sounds beautiful. Service intervals for GT is short compared to Versys. So, maintenance cost is on the higher side for GT. Take a test ride your self on both the bikes, get a feel of the bike and then decide which bike you want to go for.

Booked this 600cc black beauty beast.. will start burning the pirelli Tyre from 29th of this month.

Dear seniors can you suggest whether I should buy the riding gear from benelli or I could get a better version outside? if outside, based on your experience can you recommend a good helmet and jacket and gloves. For Over all budget is 15k.

Raise your budget to atleast 20-25k for quality riding gears. You are buying a 7L machine atleast 20-25k can be easily spent on our safety.

Agreed. Actually I am fresh hand for these costly gears. Please help me to narrow down the selection process. Any reference weblink for product purchase is highly appreciated
