Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Hello People,
No offense to 600i owners but I fail to understand why this sells so much the only thing I love about the bike is its sound thanks to the 4 pot mill but all said and done this is old R6 engine with a heavy clutch no proper weight distribution, super heavy at 231 Kgs and unreliable services and support unpredictable spares availability the list is still long
I recently did a spares and service comparo study with 600i vs z800 vs street triple and while the service cost and value for money was in favor of 600i the service intervals are too less
Also not sure of Benelli will update the 600i model compared to competitors like z900 and the new street 765?
This is BIG question mark?Ride HARD but Ride SAFE
Cheers !!

Mate, do you see every person on the planet owning the same superbike?. Everyone has their own taste. 600i is a good bike. It might be devoid of low and mid range torque but it is very rideable in city traffic. I myself am planning to buy this bike even though I am aware of the fuel overflow issue. I had seen this bike 2 years back and fell in love with it. I have test ridden the cbr650f, z800, Scrambler, Daytona 675, Monster821. The latter 2 are out of my league due to budget constraints. I did not like the Scrambler as I am an inline 4 guy. Cbr650f is a good bike but lacks that X-factor that I am looking for. I found z800 seat bit too high for my height even though I was able to ride it and yes it's heavy. Benelli ticks the boxes for me. The build quality is good. Still trying to find the "chinese connection" on this bike. I respect your views too. Enjoy ur day.Originally posted by Javed Basheer View PostHello People,

The benelli is the most vfm bike in the category for 6 lakhs you get a inline 4 engine and abs can't ask for more, as for electronics, honesty I'd avoid them, usually cost abomb in case of issues. The torque on the bike is low for a reason, it's more traffic friendly.the z800 n CBR 650 f is a good 2 lakhs more expensive ,it comes down to personal needs, and I think benelli have the best customer support.Originally posted by amg1 View PostMate, do you see every person on the planet owning the same superbike?. I don't usually comment on these things, but remember buying is one time affair, maintenance is for a lifetime (of the vehicle).
They are numerous Benelli in the used market with just few thousand km on odo, some of it are from people I know. Believe me it's not a good picture. What I am saying is, if you really want 600i the used market is where it is. Almost new bikes for almost half price.

You do have a valid point. But, again it depends from people to people. Some people use the bike for daily commute, some only on weekends, some on highways, some for long rides. Depending on how you use the bike, the way you look after the bike the wear and tear on the bikes will reflect.Originally posted by kannanmr16 View PostI don't usually comment on these things, but remember buying is one time affair, maintenance is for a lifetime (of the vehicle).

Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
I own Benelli TNT 300 for last two years and I know many who have been having 600i and GT for last two years and use it for weekend breakfast rides. I have seen many falling for this bike for its orgasmic sound. But they have no clue of how to use it and what its strengths and shortcomings are and in no time they fall in love with another bike and then another. No end to it. But those who know what they have bought and for what reason, they still own the beast. There is no perfect bike and there are many used superbikes in the used-market apart from Benelli.Originally posted by kannanmr16 View PostI don't usually comment on these things, but remember buying is one time affair, maintenance is for a lifetime (of the vehicle).

PS: I am not a Benelli fanboy

Exactly, friend owns a 600i ( member of xbhp too ) has done around 14k kms on his 600i and is happy with his bike apart from service costs. Thing is people just get sold on that inline 4 exhaust note, serious owners would take other things in consideration.Originally posted by experimentalhead View PostI own Benelli TNT 300 for last two years and I know many who have been having 600i and GT for

True that. Along with that the way the bike handles in the city and highway. Have taken the test ride on the bike and loved it.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostExactly, friend owns a 600i ( member of xbhp too ) has done around 14k kms on his 600i and is happy with his bike apart from service costs. By the way, the guys at Psynyde bikes, Pune can replicate your TNT 600 frame in chromoly if you want a few kilos off your bike. The guy wanted detailed drawings. Those of you in Pune can check with him if he can work with an actual bike. Or if any of you can get drawings made of the frame, then you can get him to work with that. Please note that I have no affiliation with the firm.

Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Hi guys. I am a newbie here and am really overwhelmed after seeing so many passionate motorcyclists in this forum. Coming to my point, I am looking for a long distance touring machine for weekend travelling with my wife. And let me put it straight that seating ergonomics and pillion comfort top the list of my priorities (I am sure all married guys would agree to this point). Adding to that, I need a reliable machine with decent amount of torque and power. Looks and build quality are also there in the list. After doing some research, I narrowed upon two bikes specifically, the versys 650 and the benelli 600 GT, given that my budget is strictly bounded above by 8 lacs. On road prices are 8 lacs for versys and 7.49 lacs for the GT. Please express your suggestions regarding which bike would be a better fit for me given my priorities and budget.
PS: I am posting this query in this thread since it has far more members than the GT thread. TIA.
