My rear wheel ball bearings have to be replaced and the Benelli dealer in Goa does not have it in stock and as a result wanted to buy them locally.

Can anyone help me with the size of the rear ball bearings?

I think fuel is overflowing, that pipe shouldn't been the places there, it's highly dangerous. Sadly, benelli hasn't resolved it.

Please get bike inspected at svc i faced same issue on my Tnt 25 and fuel flow was quite high. Please have a thorough look or else get the bike towed for checkup.

So you had to rebuild the engines of the two bikes to cover 12 lakh kms because without rebuild such bike engines don't last that long.

                Dear Sir,

I am riding my discover 125 for one and half years now. I am getting bored with it and want more power. I was thinking of buying the yamaha r3 since it was a twin, but now I feel like getting the 600i. Do you think that I will be able to handle it since it's a 600cc and i have been only riding a 125cc till now? Also is it too heavy? Please reply as I am thinking of selling my discover and buying the 600i.

                Thank You,
                Akash.

Of course you can buy 600i. It won't scare you because the power is at higher rpm. At lower rpm it is very sane and anybody can ride it. But the only problem is its weight. If you are in B2b traffic then it is little painful as you can't squeeze like your discover or duke and you will feel the weight in stand still. However, if the traffic is moderate to less, then you don't even feel the weight while riding. You will feel the bike to be heavy during parking

Sir, since it is heavy, what kind of damages could happen to the bike if I accidentally drop it while parking it? Also should I buy it at this moment? or wait a few more years? Another thing is that since this is a super bike, will people try to sit on it / play with it if I left it out of sight? Also will it be safe to park it in the garage? or should I park it inside my house since it is an expensive bike?

                    Thanks,
                    Akash

I guess buying a twin or even a triple makes much more sense if you really want to tap into the performance or the bike day in and out. That's just my take.i think a ninja 650, er6n, street triple will be way more.practicle depending on your budget ofcourse.

Street triples way above my budget plus I always wanted a 4 cylinder bike since it looks so much macho due to the quad exhaust pipes.

Hey, I do agree about Triumph Street Triple being pricey option.
I would recommend that you should once go and check Honda CBR650F also. Agreed that it doesn't have sound or stand-out looks unlike Benelli 600i or Triumph Street Triple, but I heard that they dropped prices by 1 lakh+ so it is now only 40-50k higher than Benelli. This suddenly makes it a strong competitor. Earlier price put it in direct competition with Kawasaki Z800 and in that case Z800 was a stronger package at similar price.

At the same time, Triumph Street Triple which is used about 12000 km or less distance should be available in used market at a decent price much closer to price of a new Benelli 600i. Believe me, that also isn't a bad option. Almost all owners of such bikes are true super bike lovers and have put on many accessories that overall cost around Rs 1 lakh and each of them obsessively cleans and maintains his/her bike!

Ideally a second hand bike should not come in picture but in this case, a used Street Triple would be a good value. Once you ride it, you will love its sound, agility in traffic, cornering ability and sufficient comfort even for pillion (relative weak point of Benelli and Kawasaki). Only bug-bear is ground clearance but that is true for almost all bikes. Triumph service cost is also reasonable and yearly costs is unlikely to be above Benelli 600i.
E.g. my first service cost was about Rs 6500 or so (after running in - inclusive of engine oil) and then next service was after 1 year - that cost me about Rs 16500 (inclusive of front brake pad replacement and engine oil). Further service would be directly in Sep/Oct 2017 and should cost anything between Rs 15-20k.

I don't think this is unusual cost for this segment.

Even if you have decided to go with Benelli 600i, that isn't a bad decision either as now they have made some good improvements compared to previous version (now ABS is there and fuelling was a bit notchy earlier and has been made smoother as per some reviews I read).

this is where the benelli kicks in....the first service cost for me was 6k and the nxt service cost was 9k (service at every 4k kms)....so in a year you spend more than a triumph.

                                Is it true?
Service is at every 4k kms for a 600cc bike?
I was actually blown away by the vfm fact 600i has, an inline 4 at that price, sounds even better than some bigger inline 4 monsters.
But service interval at 4k kms sounds ridiculous and with this hefty service charge.

Even my RS200 has 5k interval for servicing.
