Also on a side note, recently changed my rear tyre back to 100/90 Apollo actigrip r4. This came after facing frequent loss of air from the Michelin sirac street which had run around 20k kms. The tread was good and excellent grip on the Michelin, but the loss in mileage has been immense and was getting around 30kmpl!.
Changed the tyre and the mileage is back to 40+.

Hey thanks for the recommendation. I just measured the length of stock suspension and went for these one. Damping seems tobe okay but stock setup was more comfortable. Let's see how it fares in long term.Originally posted by r0rshack View PostMurtaza, Apache RTR shocks are a direct fit for GS150r. Been using it for around 30k kms.
thanks

40+ is little less for GS if ridden under 4.5 k rpm. I am getting around 50 ish. 89k on odo. Rear is JK BLAZE BR32 tubeless.Originally posted by r0rshack View PostAlso on a side note, recently changed my rear tyre back to 100/90 Apollo actigrip r4. Hi, Just replaced my front tyre, it had lost almost its front tread, the side walls had started to crack, i got more than 50000kms and 3years without a single puncture.i wanted to check CEAT tyres but the salesman highly recommended me JK bf34 , saying it has a thicker sidewall. I felt it to be slightly more heavier than the ceat so purchased it. My side stand was in very bad shape, due to the salty air and standing in floods during monsoons, visited the ASC to buy a new one but the price was Rs309/- , didnt find it appealing so rented a welding set for rs100 and attached a piece of scrap iron plate to the bottom, will see how long it lasts.

yes, it looks so, but im currently running 89700ish on odo and my workplace is less than a kilometre from my residence, average travel from residence to office including lunch would be 2 kms and the GS stands outdoors all the while. To and fro office i never reach evn the 6th gear!. Miss the early 100 km per day travel to office!Originally posted by Murtaza View Post

But, even then, on highway i used to get 55 averages which dropped to 50 after the michelin tyres.
Im not sure if my riding style is bad.

I have switched my oil, from shell ax7 to this idemitsu 20w40, currently on 2 nd change , the bike feels slightly better. changed my sparkplugs after 30k kms, should have replaced earlier but didnt find a reason to. and lastly , found an alternative air filter, oil filters are available easily but air filter for gs is hard to come by. I have attached the brand label for all to see, the quality of the plastic is not upto suzukis standard but has an extra sponge underneath that helps it fit snugly into the air box. will update if any issues arise in the future, costs just rs200.

Hi guys
Had to replace rear tyre quite early this time. Since I bought it online, I was sent a 2017 manufactured tyre in 2020. So it was already stored for 3 years. I am sure it was not stored properly. Tyre began to show dry rots too early and cracked in the tread area and also bulged at some places. There was uneven wear all round the circumference both sides. Like small bumps all over. So for the safety point of view I just changed it. It still had 70 % of tread left after clocking 21k. It would have easily lasted 50k kms if it hadn't gone this bad.
Replaced with the Apollo actigrip r4 100/90-18 tubeless. Costed me 1800/-. Hope it's good as there are no reviews available for this perticular tyre.Last edited by Murtaza; 05-12-2022, 08:49 PM.

Mee too had to change the lock set. Luckily found it in nearby dealership. Though the ignition lock was only needed to be changed but since it was available as a set only, decided to change all locks.Originally posted by r0rshack View PostGrip is good. Had a ride to Kolli hills sometime after installing them and was able to ride with confidence.
Getting spare parts is getting tiresome now. My lock set had to be replaced and none of the service centers had a spare.
