This rising of RPM when the engine becomes hot is common in every 4 stroke bikes. The idling RPM of our bike when the engine is cold is 900-1000 and when warm is 1300-1500. Adjust it yourself to a maximum of 1400 or 1500 after riding 2 or 3 kms. This will solve the problem.

How did you check the fuel efficiency?

hey vishnu i checked from full tank to full tank......
It takes more love to share the saddle than it does to share the bed.

It is not a reliable method. Check it with 200 or 300 ml of fuel in a jar for it, connecting it to the dry carburetor and riding through your usual road in the usual riding style. This jar is available at the service centre

Absolutely agree with you. I dont understand why they cannot put a proper photo of their bike on their website. The suzuki indian website really does not do justice to their brand or products.

Also, did anybody get any brochures of new gs150r at showroom ??

            • Today during the delivery of my bike I saw the cold idle rpm of my bike as 1800-2000. It was rectified after my request in the service station at approximately 1000-1100. Also I checked that it is reaching 1500 rpm once becoming hot. Thank you all for the valuable guidance. In my vehicle manual the compression ratio is written as 9.4:1. Also the engine capacity is written as 149. Till now I have not faced the engine noise in between 3500-4000 rpm. The gear box is very good. No gear slipping or gear change problem faced till now. I'll update and post the photos very soon.
              Regards.

So the compression ratio remains the same. Please let us know the overall width and wheel base of the bike as per the user’s manual.

in my case that greasing is not done and the handle is some wat tight but still in hard braking i feel some tak noise near the race bearing kit so my local mech said to completely replace the race bearing kit than that ball bearings etc. but i dnt know the cost of that kit. nybody give some info regarding the cost of that race bearing kit.

in my case its not pulling me either to left or right.. but on hard braking i am hearing some tak sound as if the fork cone is loose so i asked a mech to tighten it he said its already tight its better to replace the cone set (race bearing kit) with a new one... and when i am turning i am feeling the weight of the bike may b becoz of tightened fork nut.

                          Same thing here
many times people at SVC just do greasing stuff n they dont change the bearings,
so pplease do explicitly tell them to replace
at my last servic, they just washed it in kerosine n greased it, n told me k "prob solve ho gaya hai"
but it again comes in 10-15 days

for new one i dnt think that it will be cheap.. i assume it to be around 300 and for service charge around 200 so total will be around 500. i assume ....

It is separately billed as ball bearing steel lower, balls, race steering inner upper, race steering inner lower, race steering outer upper, race steering outer lower etc. Greasing is free!

dont over tighten the fork cone... ur steering will get affected it will be hard to steer the bike.... my suggestion would be to inspect the H bar and see for bends and check the race bearing kit tooo from a trusted SVC mech.... dont take risk with the fork cone cause its a precision machined part and if not done properly it will affect ur tyre wear and handling of ur bike too... if u r claiming an insurance i would suggest u change it...
