    i have just done my servicing couple of days back @8k n i have changed the sparkplug as mentioned by the manual.... it cost me 100/- bucks (suzuki genuine spares, if i would have purchased NGK from outside SVC i would have got it cheaper) i dunno if it is safe for 17k or not but i better stick to the manual until my warranty expires......

    @10k will be changing fork oil (which will be a major cost approx 700 bucks i guess) apart from that i dont think it will harm the bike or our pockets that much for repacking the grease in the wheel bearings and changing the O Rings (which costs hardly 22/-RS)


    dont know about the air filter but if u live in a dusty place i recommend u change it...

      In your case I believe the cold idle RPM is the culprit, if the cold idle RPM is very low starting trouble may occur.

      As your bike is new the best thing is to consult SVC.
      Madhu u misunderstood me . The bike does not have any starting trouble.
      The bike s getting stated wit a kick or a press itself, But if i engage the choke its not getting stated at all(hot and cold) .
      Even if i start normally and engage choke its getting switched off immediately.

      could not go to SVC today

          yeah i am really angry with these SVS guys at louiswadi as you sll guys know that i gave my bike for servicing & also i asked them to do engine flushin that its ok lets see if it really makes any difference but as many of you guys said that it is all a bluff but thank god i saved nearly 300 bucks of mine , but lets see what does engine flushing od Rs. 240 gives results of?
          HENCEFORTH I AM NOT GONNA USE ANY SUCH ADD-ON'S FOR BIKE JUST SERVICE & GOOD ENGINE OIL NOTHING ELSE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

          OTHER MENTIONED PROBLEMS WERE RECTIFIED ALSO BIKE IS SMOOTHER.
          but i am not mad because of this i received the bike not all of the complaints were solved my petrol tank lid near water accumulation problem still not rectified even when said so & a new problem ! when i got the bike back I WENT FOR A TEST RIDE WHEN I STARTED THE BIKE IT STARTED COLD RPM AT 1.5 K I WAS LIKE WTF! I ASKED HIM ABOUT IT HE SAID ITS OK I WAS HAPPY AS MY HEADLIGHT BRIGHTNESS HAD INCREASED BUT LITTLE DID I KNOW WHERE I WAS GONNA LAND UP I RODE THE BIKE TO HOME WITH A TEST ON HIGHWAY OF SPEED UPTO 60KMPH MAX. I RETURNED HOME , IN THE LANE MY ENGINE WAS SHOUTING LIKE HELL & WHEN I REACHED HOME THE HOT RPM WAS AT 3K I WAS THIS AT THAT TIME, WORKSHOP HAD CLOSED FRIDAY BEING CLOSED HAVE TO GO ON SATURDAY. I CALLED HIM HE SAID THAT CHECK THE CHOKE IT WAS NOT ON I CHECKED , I ASKED HIM DO YOU CHANGE CARBURETOR i.e RPM SETTING IN 2ND SERVICE HE SAID NO THEN I WAS LIKE THEN WHAT THE HELL DID YOU? WHY IS BIKE GETTING SO HEATED UP?             My dear young man,
            Turn the idle adjust screw / throttle stop screw anti-clock wise until the rpm minimizes to 1300-1400, when the engine is warm. Refer page 2-4 and 6-24 of the user’s manual to find out this screw.
            You have never faced any real problems in life; it seems.

              I seem to be facing a problem with the headlight and indicator switches on my bike.
              When i turn on the headlight, the tail light which is supposed to be on continuously does not come on sometimes, it only turns on while applying the brake. But it works fine when only pilot lights are on.
              And indicator which does not work half the times, i have to try some 3 or 4 times for it to start working. What could be the problem ? Is there any simple DIY solution for this because i really dont want to go to the svc. They charge 300 for servicing and do nothing except washing the bike.

                No lights except the lights in the instrument panel are glowing when you switch on the bike. This is normal.
                Clean the headlight and indicator switches with WD-40 or anything like that. This will solve the issue.

                    The debate about it is going on and no one knows which one is the best. So, use any XXW-40 oil as advised by the manufacturers of the bike.

                              Bro, I would advise against Clip-ons on our bike.
                              There are a lot of problems that may crop up due to this,
                              First of all, it would no more be the able handler that it is now,
                              Secondly, I doubt it would be a direct fit.
                              Thirdly, if not direct fit, you may end up stressing the front suspension drive or losing the head locking facility.

                              But you can always go for a straight bar-handle.
                              First choice would be Pulsar180 UG3 handlebar, but remember, our dual throttle hub would often mess with the tank in that case.

                              Second choice is to put on the bar-handle of the present Karizma R, it can provide good fit but would be wider than our handle bar.

                              So the bar handles alignment could be chalked out somehow but clip-ons are a definite NO.

                                Yup... Use Motul 3000 4T plus. I done pune-hyderabad with in 12 hours using this oil, no issues.
