both unicorn and gs are fine bikes. You would not regret your decision for either. If you are going for suzuki make sure there is an authorized dealer nearby. Else you will face issues with spares. RajOriginally posted by dhruv5588 View PostGuys leaning towards buying this bike...
Actually I am very much confused between GS150R and CBunicorn.
rightnow 90% towards suzuki GS150.
Am I going in right direction?

Both are Awesome Bikes.
You will have to wait for months to get a Unicorn
but GS on same day of booking.
If you plan to sell your bike after one or two years of using it, go for a Unicorn because the resale value is more.
Even the Crash bar needs to be purchased seperately for a Unicorn. The accessories will come upto 1000 rs. All these come as stock in GS.
On-road GS will cost you almost 2000 less than Unicorn
Both offer almost the same mileage (50-60)2005 - Hercules MTB Thriller | 2018 - Apollo Evade
2010 - Unicorn- 61K
2011 - GS - 49K
2016 - Gusto - 15K
2017 - Tiago XZ 1.2P - 11K

Change of sprocket
Hi guys, the front sprocket of my bike has worn considerably and need immediate change. However i am having issues finding spares. The front sprocket has 14 teeth and the rear has 41. I wish to change the front sprocket for the time being and will procure the genuine sprocket set when i visit the city which has an authorized dealer. Now could someone tell me which bike's front sprocket will be direct fit on our bike. A lot of bikes has 14 teeth front sprocket, like shine, r15, fz, gladiator, apache 18 etc. But dont know if anyone fits. Appreciate all inputs. Thanks, Raj.

Today I tried to Replace the stock Reflector with Round Dome Reflector
Here are the Pictures, Though its not superb
but i think its better then our Stock one

2. Removed the back cove of the reflector
3.The Round reflector back view
4.HID Focus due to the round reflector
5.Front view of Dome
I also replaced my stock bulb (35watt) with the 60 watt bulb which I got with my alto as spare. I have disconnected the two pilot bulbs. The output is far far better .

GS150R sporty handlebar !!!!
Tired of my engineer friend's constant persuasion about changing the handlebar to a sporty one and of the fact that every naysaying mechanic's fool hardy lethargy of calling it impossible, yesterday afternoon I started trying to install the original Pulsar180DTSi UG3 sports bar-handle to replace the stock highish bar-handle all by myself and completed the transition sucessfully.
I think I am the first guy again to render such a sporty seating posture arrangement to the GS150R

Anyway, the handle bar fits in wonderfully to the stock settings and the bike feels a bit heavier when moving it around without engine on.I think it is just a matter of time before this handle becomes the habit.
The bike with is high weight and relatively long wheelbase now turns in easier at the corners and runs less wide at them. This handle undoubtedly enhances the handling chracteristics of the bike.At high speeds it is now less prone to gusts of winds, this may help stability and top speed comfort.
Here are the pictures of the same :

Thats how it looks when from the rider's seat.

full left turn of the handle do not mess with the fuel tank

full right turn of the handle also do not mess with the fuel tank along with the entire dual throttle hub and disc fluid chamber in place
All I needed was some common measurements as to where to drill the hole for planting the switch gear units on the stock Pulsar180DTSi UG3 handlebar.I got it done from the tools workshop of a local uncle.
So here is this Supercharged, full DC,BiXenon GS150R with a sportier riding position

Thanks.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@MACH50: Good mod there! I always felt the stock handle is too high
Yes the stock handlebar made this bike very neutral in terms of handling.....that is a very neutral feel in maneuvers and corners even though the rear suspension loves corners even with the 100/90 rear tyre.So now, this handlebar completes the package.
Bit by bit my GS150R has come a long way from a stock bike.
The most beautiful experience about modding this bike is that, it takes in the mods beautifully.
Next up in my list are very cstly mods :
1.a rear disc set-up - people say that this cannot be done without changing the stock alloy wheel ............well for me this increases the cost unnecessarily and I love the spiral alloy wheel unfound on any other bike.
Any suggestions regarding how a rear-disc brake can be set-up on the stock alloy wheel at rear ?????
2.a 2V to 4V header conversion arrangement - even my friend who designed the forced induction for my bike is skeptical about it.................Any valuable inputs from an experienced engineer regarding this mod is welcome.
The BorexStroke of our GS150R significantly matches that of the R15, then where is the issue in simply plonking the 4V header of R15 to replace the 2V header of our bike ?????Last edited by MACH50; 08-24-2011, 08:10 PM.Hell's Angel

Congrats on your new handle, and also the very first DC gs150r and kompressor and stuff. Man, even with all these, you dont seem satisfied at all. 4-valve of R15.... that could be challenging, because even 1 mm difference could cause problems. Also, R15 is fuel-injected.
Also some news, though unrelated, honda has stopped production of dazzler. No reasons given. Probably busy making activa and twister, as they have more profit margin. Next batch of dazzler expected only in 2012, per showroom staff.
Now, any news about that new gs150r or was it just rumors??
