        That's the fun, isn't it? [emoji12]
Just don't do it when cops are around.

Kawasaki guys recommended not to put free flow exhaust at least till 4-5k kms.

So if cat-con is located close to the exhaust header..then what is that boom-box for ? Just a query...

          hahah..true that...Here..they say 3-4k kms..once the run-in is completed.

I may sound stupid here...Does the ECU needs a re-map when you are installing a free-flow exhaust like Arrow, IXIL or Akra ??

That's still a big question for me. There are mixed opinions. But most of them don't recommend remap if it's only slip-on change. Attaching a screenshot from Arrow website.

So the perception is , Unless its a full-on-system, you dont need one uh..

Thats strange...The exhaust will flow freely without any hassle..So, wouldnt it affect the ECU ??

It won't affect the ECU. It's basically improper fueling.

I have read online that as long as you don't rev the engine too hard or at high rpms for long durations, a free-flow or a stock exhaust doesn't matter. In my short experience (~100 kms) with the free flow IXIL exhaust, I feel the bike is normal if not much smoother (1st service sure played a role too). There are some vibrations while decelerating quickly from 7/6000 rpm but nothing alarming and I'm sure these will subside once I reach 1600 kms when the running in period will be over.

If you have noticed the picture, slipon is added after both cylinder pipes meets together. As per the article catalytic converter must be inside that bent pipe after o2 sensor. Boom box is just a resonator where the pulses are tamed to produce more mature sound

The Benelli 300 gets two catalytic converters along with two O2 sensors and two 38 mm throttle bodies.

Another video of the IXIL exhaust. Please keep in mind that the idle sound is not accurate as I used my phone's voice recorder. However, you can hear the true sound at the end of the video.

Haha yes. I have clocked 500 kms in just about 2 weeks time. I have been riding it pretty much like my old 150 Unicorn with only some occasional bursts but never crossing 5K rpm. I have to pat myself on the back for showing immense patience. I can't wait for the engine break-in period to finish and make the beast scream.
