Great bike indeed. I am really confused between the Duke 390 and the tnt 300.
Would like to know the following points-
1) how's the engine heat
2) any1 using premium petrol
3)is the headlamp adequate enough
4) parking issues if any
And last but not the least
5)kitna deti hai.

1. Manageable. Rather you may feel harder clutch feel on the TNT in traffic.
2. Normal fuel would do fine too. No knocking observed.
3. Adequate enough if not excellent. You can plonk Osram NBs if you wish.
4. Yes, similar to anything perceived as luxurious in India.
5. Sirf khushiyaan deti hai.

My Italian Brute got delivered on the 6th of this month just seven days before. Have been regularly riding to office. Have clocked 150 kms and was planning for a solo ride when the rain gods kicked in. Below are the pics. Had started an ownership thread but somehow I committed the same mistake of not copying the content and due to some server error the whole write up disappeared. Will post my experience once I complete a few rides on this Hulk. I must say the bike is big and green as Hulk and draws all the necessary attention on the road and in petrol pumps. Below are some of the pics. Have also bought some cool riding gear Rynox mesh riding jacket and SOL SF1 Helmet from the Benelli Store.

First of all congrats for the Italian beauty.. hope you are enjoying it..
I was riding it on a flat road and with almost constant speed for more than an hour engine was performing pretty well and speed started to creep till 78-80. In city this feat is not possible but try this on freeway you will feel the difference. RPM will be little (very little) over 5 but not 5.5

Hey Judge, congrats for owning the green beauty....

I had a small query, does your clutch feel a little hard. As I am riding after almost 3 years, maybe it will take time for me to get used to it.

Yes I was a bit hard as compared to other bikes but it is not uncomfortable. I will try to get it a bit closer to my grip but may be after the first service.

So hott here. I rode for 2 hours during day in the city. Bike didn't break a sweat but I was drenched. Waiting for the sun to go down
Judge - To me the clutch lever is perfect. Not hard and not too soft. Sometimes I had to hold the lever a little longer. Was struggling to find N on occasion but never felt it was hard.

dhawz29, thanks mate. The number plate came standard from Benelli, also they did away with the front number plate on their own accord. The bike has numerous Italian flag stickers and amazing detailing. The sales staff and service staff are very responsive in Mumbai as well. I was riding to office everyday wearing all my gear and was getting drenched everyday but somehow every morning I had the inclination to take out the Benelli instead of my car. Even I struggled couple of times to find N. I found a quick solution only if this happens during parking, just switch of the bike and with the same effort the gear slots into N and doesn't fumble, but in traffic my left palm was strained olding onto the clutch lever. As regards the clutch lever, I think its a bit on the harder side, might soften up on regular use, also this may be the effect owing to the fact that I am riding a bike almost after 3 years.

I had the same issue of finding the N in signal as I am riding it after 7 yrs. No matter what I take my Angel everyday atleast for a 10km ride to get used to it even in traffic, Its been fruitful. even now sometime I struggle for the N after 2 weeks but I am almost there LOL.

I must admit that the confidence that I get after driving her in rain is simply awesome. It sticks to the road, and not only that but the center of gravity for this bike is just amazing. I would term its the best investment on her. Maybe I will upgrade it after 4-5 years to the 600i or something to Benelli or if Vitamin M is good will go for FZ1 1lt

Wow! That's a nice gesture by Benelli Mumbai. I have my front plate intact. I got some lovely chocolates by Benelli Chennai shaped in form a bike itself. And 2 Redbull cans. Promotion I guess.
I have been driving my car to work all these days. Monday onwards I'll start maybe 20-30 minutes early on the bike to beat some mad traffic.
Thanks for the tip. I'll try that. I'm able to land on N from 2nd gear down. It's the 1st to N up shift where I fail every single time.

Amazing that you are back to riding after so many years!! I was away for sometime from riding and it made me sad. I was itching to get back.
No rains in Chennai yet. We usually get proper monsoon rains from the retreating clouds in Oct-Nov. It's assuring to know that the bike instills so much confidence in wet weather. You're right - the weight, underbelly exhaust for low center of gravity, the Pirellis, long wheelbase = no problem in rains. Speaking of wheelbase, at 1410 mm it has a decent long wheelbase which is a good thing but compromises turning radius a bit.

Now that inspires some confidence in me to take it out in the rains. I somehow feared how the Pirellis will perform in wet weather conditions as reviews of the Metzeler in wet weather conditions was termed bad by fellow Duke owners.

However, the Pirellis were ultra grippy on the tarmac, was fumbling a bit on wet cemented roads, hence my worry. The weight of the bike inspires confidence and its mass centralisation lends it a proper center of gravity.
dhawz29 Even I am riding this baby after 3 years, was always eager to invest in a sports bike, but not a single bike available in the market could strike a chord with my heart. The Benelli found its way right into my heart and finally I found the bike with the below configuration:

Sound of the Exhaust = +1
Naked Street Bike design = +1
Big Bike and stable feel = +1
Touring capabilities + big fuel tank = +1
Equipment level = +1
Smooth engine and decent mileage = +1
