re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Well I'm also smitten by the Benelli. I own it's bicycle brother Cinelli :P. Had wished I'll photograph both together. Infact this was the bike I was waiting for since it's announcement, which was scheduled to unveil in Nov'14 then dec'14.... well I moved on only because there was nothing concrete about it during my 4 months of bike hunting from Oct'14. Infact even Honda300 was on my cards.
But I had a end-date which was my birthday in dec. & with no sight of Benelli I went ahead with Conti GT against many of my friends. I'm super happy with the GT, apart from the batter-glow sign niggle in traffic I've not face any najor problem with it. But issue is..... Benelli showroom is right on my way of commute!!! And that's a huge problem :P.
Every-day I pass by the showroom my heart says to go but the 300 & sell the GT off
. Not sure why it is so. Honestly my wife has also insisted on visiting the showroom just for time-pass, But I'm super scared coz I know my problems will only increase after that
. Though I'm yet to spot a Benelli in flesh.
I also agree that timings & acceleration figures just don't matter. Racing belongs on tracks.

I am no one to advise. Excuse me for this free advice. Since you have purchased Continental GT just about six months ago, enjoy it thoroughly. And, by then Benelli are coming up with more variants by next year and who knows you may get a better dealOriginally posted by Kaushik Iyer View PostWell I'm also smitten by the Benelli. re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
True buddy my speed has already dropped below 80s nowadays that to in straightsOriginally posted by experimentalhead View PostAt the end of the day what is most important of all is going back home to your loved ones in one piece
few reasons
1. my kids want to go in one piece as you stated
2. Getting a little old both me and my bike Sizuki fierro which is 13 years old .
3. The most peculiar problem of my speed reduction is ! In the straight road which is about 8 kms is the only stretch where I can go to good speeds during my commute but there is a problem, we will hit a lot of butterflies and dragon flies on the way which I hate killing them If I ride below 60-70 kmph I can avoid them mostly .Last edited by max007; 05-28-2015, 04:09 PM.

re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
that's a very subtle but great thing you do. Reminds me of the story where the man was throwing starfishes back into the sea. Someone asked what difference will it make? There are still hundreds of starfishes lying on the beach. And the man threw another starfish and replied, "well it made a difference to that one".Originally posted by max007 View Post3. 0.5 seconds, guess you missed the period. And this isn't no Splendor to be 5 seconds behind. The feel you get riding this bike is way more nicer than Duke, which I felt. The exhaust note adds to it.Originally posted by sparky View PostDon't mean to spoil anyone's experience, but Benelli seems to have conquered more hearts here with their exhaust note than the bike itself. That 5s slow is like an eternity dude, the D390 would have vanished beyond your sight by then..

It's a beautiful and wonderful machine. All the best with your steed. Enjoy responsibly and ride safe.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View Post0.5 seconds, guess you missed the period. A humble request: Just to hear and showcase that noise made by this beast, do not rip the bike on public roads.
I would suggest to keep that exhaust note for yourself like Bruce Wayne keeps his mysterious and secretive batman side

Hehehe.... I know man... everytime I pass by I skip a heart beat & look to the left.
You know that building is like a magnet... it has 2 shops "Triumph" -gap- "Benelli"
And that gap in between the two shops will be recently filled by "Indian"!!!! Talk about a Bike mall.

I won't, that was the first bike I had ridden which had a note that mesmerizing for a 300cc. I'm not a show off kind of person.Originally posted by experimentalhead View PostIt's a beautiful and wonderful machine. All the best with your steed. Enjoy responsibly and ride safe.

Whole lot of valuable info there buddy. Congo for your purchase.
