Sure. I'll do that. Thanks man :-)Originally posted by adithya.mv View PostIt will withstand.. I am using it for my ninja 300. But remember side stand is good for daily parking and this stand can be used for routine maintenance. One more thing this is universal one and doesn't require spools to hold. Shipping will be around 400. Ask him to pack well, he is a nice guy.

Ok cool. I'll do that... How often do we need to clean and lube the chain ?Originally posted by ironmarine View PostDon't go for Motul lubricants. It's my personal advice. Try tribocor it's excellent.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I guess clean interval of 1000km is fine unless the chain gets very dirty..
And lube interval depends on the lubricant.. For most lubricants it's less than 500km, except for tribocor as suggested by binil.. Again, depends on when you feel or see that the chain is too dry..
For both, lubing and cleaning the chain, you will know when you see it..It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

If I am going to clean and lube the chain every 500kms, why not I take it to the SVC.Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Yeah cool.Originally posted by MUSTANG 27 View PostUsing diesel for chain cleaning is ok but not kerosene its a metal cutter, sometimes can damage the o ring. WD40 or chain cleaner will be best.
Instead of investing 3k for the paddock stand and 1.5 for the cleaner and lube, I will get it done from the SVC every 500 kms for few months.
Planning to invest on the PPF film and frame sliders for now.Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Shashank, the cleaner and lube will cost you only 700+ and it's worth it. I'm referring to tribocor.
Trust me it's much better than what's been done from svc. Recently I did a 400+ one way trip and the worst thing was that the chain went dry. It was making weird noise and when checked it was because of dry chain. Went to a local mechanic and asked him to clean and he applied some TVS pattented lube which saved my journey back.
The same if I had used tribocor it lasts easily for a 1k kms as Binil mentioned.
Go to svc only for chain tightening as it requires a torque wrench

Usually SVCs don't accept bikes just for washing or chain cleaning/lubing etc because they will be already having many bikes to do servicing or repairs.. Their usual reply would be to get it done along with next servicing or to go to some local mechanic.. In case of Bennelli, they may be doing it for you because they don't have many bikes to service/repair.. It may not be the same case when the numbers increase considerably due to TNT250..
Also, chain cleaning can be done after 1000 - 1500kms most of the times.. For me in bangalore it's clean even until 1500kms since it's not raining and there is not much dust in my commute areas.. So I lube 2-3 times before cleaning next time.. Make sure you use only spray lubes like tribocor, motul, 3M etc as discussed previously and not lube oil.. Spray lubes repel dust particles..
And doing it yourself will be more economical and less time consuming in the long run..It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

Sure bro. Makes a lot of sense to know how to do these basic things.Originally posted by ironmarine View PostShashank, the cleaner and lube will cost you only 700+ and it's worth it. I'm referring to tribocor.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I've been a silent follower of this thread from last september (You guyz rockz).Going by the positive reviews & test drive, got my beast on 20th Dec 15. I have tried D390,HD 750,TB 500 & Z250 and found my taste inclined towards TNT. I have completed 320 kms and I am regularly using for my office commuting purpose. Everything looking nice so far except head lamps. They are not enough I feel.
. I am planning for Philips Xtreme Vision plus or osram UNB. Let me know if anybody changed from stock lamps? Appreciate your help here.

[QUOTE=Shashank Suresh;1195190]Sure. I'll do that. Thanks man :-)Originally posted by adithya.mv View PostIt will withstand.. I am using it for my ninja 300. All Benelli bikes comes with spools as stock. and the swing arms are such that you can't use the universal non spool stands. It will slip. No flat surface on the TNT300 swingarms. The ones Gaurav sends for the Benellis come with Universal Spool Paddock Stands. It's width can be adjusted to suit different bikes.
I lube every 1000kms. I carry lube during my trips. Like mentioned earlier, You may not need to lube every 1000km if you are not in a dusty or rainy environment. But I would recommend 1000km for you as Chennai has a saline air. And can lead to rusting faster.Originally posted by Shashank SureshSure. I'll do that. 1. SVCs will not use good lubes. They will buy whats cheaper. BLR SVC finally moved to Tribocor after a lot of owners recommended it. But still they use the cheaper version of it. TC 40 I think.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostIf I am going to clean and lube the chain every 500kms, why not I take it to the SVC.
2. SVC will charge you 200-300 each time you lube and they are not exactly liberal with the application.
3. Cleaner and Lube together will cost you 600 chillar if it's tribocor. for 500ml cans. I am nearing 7000kms and still using the 1st set of cans i bought. SO if i went to SVC every time - that would have costed me 14 x 200 = 2800 bucks if i calculate it as 200 bucks every 500kms.
4. The stand is a one time investment and will last you a life time. Also gives you the flexibility to work on your bike when you want. You do not need to depend on the SVC guys being free or open. Additionally you can still lube without the paddock stand. Stands just make the process simpler and saves time.
I have upgraded to Osrams NBU. Works way better than the stock Philips. I changed them at the SVC itself. You can do it on your own too. If you DIY that is. Just remember it is a H7 Type and you would need two bulbs.Originally posted by rahulkaithar View PostI am planning for Philips Xtreme Vision plus or osram UNB. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I have successfully completed 1k KMS. I have given the bike for servicing.
Impressions till date.
1. The engine seems to be happy with my driving. It's getting smoother everyday.
2. Upshifting at 4K is like slicing butter through knife. I don't feel any kind of a sound while shifting. But downshifting seems to be on the harder side.
3. Low beam illumination is good but high beam illumination is weak. It's so weak that last week when I took NYX out for a drive early in the morning by around 4:00 AM, I honestly couldn't see anything. I was a bit scared. I have asked the SVC folks to adjust it.
4. I have never used the back brake till date. Initially the front brakes felt like they never existed. Upon using it for several kms it improved drastically and even on panic situations it works like a charm.
5. Coming to the most important point, mileage. I have driven 1000kms and spent 1.9k on petrol. (Shell V-power).
