Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I guess diesel is also advisable and in fact used by most mechanics or service centers.. When we are cleaning the chain ourselves, say every 1000kms we won't be having diesel so I suggested the cleaners.. I have already bought 3M on a friend's recommendation.. Yet to use it though..Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostWon't kerosene or diesel suffice for chain leaning ?

** TOUCH WOOD **Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostIts little difficult to get your own parking space in an office premises. Either you have to find a secluded space or park it near the security desk or at a place where CCTV has its coverage. By that, you can keep your bike's safety under check.
Today, I saw a few management folks sitting on the bike and taking pics of NYX in the parking lot.
I told them that it feels sad to see someone else sitting on the bike. Also the belt that people wear would eventually scratch the tank as well. Those guys were nice chaps. They apologized and also told me that they had come down to look at the bike and also see where it had got scratched. They also gave permission to park my bike right opposite to a CCTV camera.
Though my intention was not to gain attention or show off, I tend to keep this in mind when situations like these happen "Once bitten, twice shy".Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Diesel and Kerosene can harden the silicon rubber in the o ring chains that we have. I have used Motul / 3M and Tribocor. My favorite out of the lot is Tribocor. I use TC 208 cleaner and 204 lube from Tribocor. Its around 600 bucks for both cans (500ml each) together. And the average lube interval is around 1000kms normal running (no dusty off roading or rains included). Motul n 3M doesnt last over 600 kms.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostWon't kerosene or diesel suffice for chain leaning ?
Gaurav's stands are good. I had procured 18 pieces together for the Bangalore chaps once. I use them for my maintenance at home. It works well. The price is not 2200 anymore though. It is 2900 + delivery (delivery free if you order atleast 6 pieces). And yes he will ship anywhere in India.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostI have pinged him on FB.

Hi Binil,Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostDiesel and Kerosene can harden the silicon rubber in the o ring chains that we have.
Diesel or kerosene won't cause any damage to the O ring, I've been using diesel for long for Chain cleaning & found no issue.
Exception is one should not use pressured diesel/water wash to clean the chain. Before lubing the chain the cleaner needs to be washed away properly.
Gaurav's paddock are VFM product with provision to use it universally.Last edited by abhijitkn; 12-23-2015, 02:54 PM.

Thanks for clearing the air over this. I have come across so many who say it isn't good but non who said they have used it ... That was helpful.Originally posted by abhijitkn View PostHi Binil,

I live in Chennai. Will Gaurav ship it here ? Will it cost extra (sorry if its a dumb question).
As you already know the TNT 300 weighs ~200 kgs. Will it withstand the weight ? The reason Im asking is, when I visited the SVC last saturday, they told me that if the paddock stand is weak it can damage the spool stand. Please advice as necessary. 2.2K is just wow!!
It will withstand.. I am using it for my ninja 300. But remember side stand is good for daily parking and this stand can be used for routine maintenance. One more thing this is universal one and doesn't require spools to hold. Shipping will be around 400. Ask him to pack well, he is a nice guy.Last edited by adithya.mv; 12-23-2015, 08:03 PM.
