I even completed a solo Tamil Nadu and Kerala ride on my Tornado, cutting through some of the thickest jungles where there was no BSNL network

I am close to 9000 Km on odo and so far servicing has been good. As far as tyres are concerned it's all about how you break and burn the rubber. I am not a hard core cornering guy. As per service center, tyres may last up to 15K as mentioned by Binil.

We come across many issues with 600i and 600GT through Bangalore's Benelli whatsapp group. But very minimal for 300 from what we hear.

OT: I am so glad that notifications issue is fixed.

    Hey Raghu,

    That is re-assuring.
Yes, I read your entire post on the solo road trip. It was awesome (both the trip and the description). One of the reasons why I am eagerly considering tnt300 is I want to go on such solo rides myself.

I have gone through the ownership thread of 600i, there, no one flagged any major issue either with the bike or servicing. But it is good to know that there are issues offline.
From the updates I feel that DSK has been doing really well to leave no stone un turned (or no turn un stoned)this time around.

Thank you very much guys for helping me out with the questions, it inspires more confidence in me to go 300 and I kind of feel that I am part of the group now.

Can you specify any of the issues that you have read on the group as I am more keen on the 600i, so certainly want to make sure what were the issues faced.

Hello, does anybody have an idea of what benelli offer as an accessories apart from ixil? Any performance or improvement parts?

What sort of ratchety? Does it happen when you accelerate or is it constantly on?

Are you talking of a short duration sound that comes when you are in 3500-4500 rpm range, specially when you are in a higher gear at low speeds ?
It's there on my bike too ... It's nothing to worry about. Other's in the group too have confirmed that rachety/chain vib sound for a few seconds in the above scenario. Probabaly some engine vib which passes on.

That is fine as binil said it happens during certain rpm, Btw in the loud exhaust note you could hear this sound..

When I switch on the bike, I get to hear a rattling noise from the right side of the engine and it comes from under the tank.

No no. Not that. I have heard that "para para" flapping sound. I figured that out as well.

I am talking about a rattling noise when I switch on the engine. Do you hear it when you switch on the bike ? I get to hear a "kir kir" sounds like something is loose...

This sound i'm not sure of. When you switch on the bike and also put the red button to on position, the only sound that would come is of the FI. I am sure you are not talking of that. Get it checked. and also compare with another bike in the SVC.

Yes I am not talking about the FI sound when we push the red button.

When I switch on the bike, when the engine starts, I get to hear an extra sound.

Planning to get it compared with other vehicles and will get it checked as well.

dont ride the bike till you decide to take it to the Svc.

                        Might be something is loose.

Could that sound be the spark plug crackling, since I have heard that sound in a carburetor engine as well.

I took her to office so that I can get to the SVC by evening. But it looks like I couldn't do it today.

Not sure what the hell is wrong but I am worried. Just took her out to visit the SVC but the traffic was hectic. Took a U turn in the first signal and got back to office.

Will visit the SVC tomorrow for sure.

I would check for any loose bolts near the engine, tank, silencer guard bolts.

Thanks for the tip buddy. Just did an inspection. I don't see anything loose, atleast to my knowledge.
