Unusable fuel here I meant is, where there are some contours in the tank where the fuel just stays and it cant be pumped otherwise. I have no idea either whether this 'unusable' fuel in the tank does account for the fuel level shown on the display.

EDIT: 600i has just 15 liter tank capacity

I'm not sure what to make of it. Has anyone else experience something similar? Maybe it's just that I need to get totally adjusted to the extra weight?
As far as I know there's nothing wrong or strange about this. All you have to do is to ask the service to make adjustments to the motorcycles rear suspension. From what you have mentioned, it seems the rear suspension is at a very soft setting. Stiffen it up and you'll corner like Rossi [emoji14] [emoji14] [emoji14]
Spring pre load and rebound damping can be adjusted.

      I hope this helps.

Sorry for this question. Does 600 and 300 has the same tank size. If so, whats the unusable amount of fuel present in the bike. I am asking this question as I am trying to figure out the range what I can do since I am planning to hit the highways soon for a 300+ km ride.
        300 has got a 16ltr tank and the 600 has a 15ltr tank

Any idea about the unusable amount of fuel present and how much liters of fuel would it take to reach from FULL tank to E level marker. My bikes gives me a mileage of ~20kmpl inside city. Just want to understand how much from 15/16 will it take to come to E level ( ??? residual liters in the tank).

300 has a decent range. Much more than usual but break capacity.

My ODO was 77 kms when I filled gas for 500 bucks. The 'E' started to blink when my ODO was 290 kms. It's giving more than 25 kmpl.

I open the tank and shake it when there is a drop in the fuel gauge bar. When I shook the tank with 7L of gas in it and when I shook the tank when it was 'E', I sensed about a litre petrol still left inside.

It's just a ballpark score I'm giving you. But I kinda felt it was a litre as I was keeping an eye on the tank capacity every now and then.

I would suggest not to push beyond 230-250kms per tankful. Better to be safe than getting stranded. [emoji106]

20 in city? Wow. Great for a 600 and 200+ kg bike. You get that with spirited riding too? Or sedate?

Got my bike today after repais of the radiator, well the new radiator has bent fins and also i found black spray paint marks on my frame, my disk brakes are also suddenly making noise.
All these issues were not there before i gave the bike for repairs.

You should get this checked immediately.

I guess they used high pressure water on the radiator. Usually they bend if you do so.

                        Please get it checked ASAP.

I'm getting around 22-25 in city and have got 30+ on highway by cruising around 120-130.
I once stretched the ride to just check how far I can go once it starts blinking with two bars left. I did around 50km before it hit blinking with no bars. I did another 10km and refilled full tank. Got to fill around 15litres and a little more. So a safe bet is you can do another 50km safely in highway cruising once it starts blinking.

No, keeping the bike sedate (i.e.) wont cross 75-80 inside city, I drive at 3.5k rpm 6th gear ~ 65kmph wherever I can.
Hardly find a open stretch to cross 100.

I never tried to rip open the bike, so not sure how much would it return in that case.

                              That's good to hear.

Though I am in my run-in period, I try to rip open sometimes when I see open stretches. I have occasionally pushed NYX to 7k RPM but immediately came down back to 5k. I am getting an efficiency between 26 - 28 KMPL inside the city. (excluding reserve).

Good investment on the gear. I am yet to get some.

Of course I am interested but I cant drive for long as I am in my run-in period. I think Ambur or Vedanthangal is good for now. Also I don't know if it's advisable to stay on the same gear and constant speed for long during the initial run-in period. **Let the advices pour in**

If you are hesitant travelling that far during your run-in, we can plan for Vedanthangal, its about 60km drive from Tambaram. Nothing much to see about unless you like bird watching .

You can drive in same gear for some time at constant speed, but running-in the bike is all about varying the throttle, peaking the RPM(5k) in all gears, speed variation, etc. Also important is to break-in the brake pads as well. The brake bite improves after few 100 kms of running.

I apply my brakes at 70-30 ratio for Front-Back. I pump the back brake lever rather than stamping on it, it releases and applies the brakes alternatively so that we dont skid, since the bike doesnt come with ABS, so its up to us totally to control the braking.
