    Cost of Ownership in ascending order - Mojo > N300 > TNT300

    Kind of Riding :

Mojo - tourer - can do long distances at good speeds unstressed - comfy seats upright seating - heavy handling at low speeds, mainly due to the big headlight. my friends got rid of it and now its better.
TNT300 - a mix of tourer and street - depends on how u ride. can be a hooligan if u want it too and can effortlessly tour well all day long - good handling - good for pillion
N300 - this thing goes fast and you would love the acceleration from the word go ... seating is sporty - not great for a pillion - hard seats

If you still have any specific question - please shoot them ... will try to help with the same.

Would still say ride all three bikes before deciding .
Thanx for reply. I am more inclined towards TNT 300 because it offers upright & comfortable riding for both. But I have few questions.
    1) How is braking performance of TNT 300?
    2) Is engine smooth & refined?
    3) How is build quality? I have heard some issues regarding build quality.
    4) As I am 6 feet tall will it suit my height?
    5) How much is cost of ownership?

I will be happy if u answer my queries. Thanks in advance.

Guys I have one genuine question. What are the advantages of twin cylinder over single cylinder & do we really need twin cylinder in India?

I'll provide what i felt from my usage.

          1. When purchased rear brakes had very nice bite but front were so-so but after 1st service the bite reversed.
          2. Engine is smooth as butter.. even in 6th gear it can pull from 32kph w/o any engine knocking..
          3. No Comments.
          4. Its Perfect for your height. Most of short guys have hard riding this bike due to its height.
          5. Again No Comments.

It all depends on the stroke size, single cylinder are mostly low revving, that is power from the word go, twin cylinders usually deliver more power at higher revs and more smoothness compared to single cylinders.

If you feel the front brakes lack bite you can add the ebc hh brake pads, but I guess once you bleed the brakes they work brilliantly. From what I read I would say compensates more than enough for the lack of abs.

They have given a booklet same as the service manual, haven't gone through it yet. Was told the terms & conditions for the extended warranty is pretty much the same as to the ones in the service manual.

                    1) How is braking performance of TNT 300?

I am pretty impressed with the brakes. They are functioning well and the Pirelli Angel STs complement well. The rear break pads lasted me 8000kms (20% city 80% highway). I am nearing 12000kms front break pads are still doing a good job. I have had a few panic breaking situations and never did i feel that the breaks were inadequate. The tires play a good roll in bringing that confidence in you and the Angel STs work damn well in dry wet tarmac and light off road.

                    2) Is engine smooth & refined?

Engine is butter smooth. Gear shifts are super smooth. You would see some vibes creep in at 6-7k rpm ... but as you go higher it smooth-ens out. Sounds awesome and can munch miles all day long.

                    3) How is build quality? I have heard some issues regarding build quality.

I have no concern over the build quality. Its what i would say over engineered. The bike is strong and heavy. The advantage of the weight shows at high speeds. Very stable.
I do wish the paint quality on the frames could have been better. May be add another coat. I have had 2 accidents with my bike. I was rear ended by a car and once hit a nasty 1.5 feet gap in a drain (across the road). The bike saved my life. Had it been one of the lighter bikes, i would have been thrown off. The alloys got bent in the drain accident but did not break. I was doing 80+ and I rolled to a stop. I guess that speaks for build quality.

                    4) As I am 6 feet tall will it suit my height?

I am 5feet 8inches. It will be fine for your height too.

                    5) How much is cost of ownership?

This is the only sore eye of the bike, coupled with the short service intervals.
I have no complaints on the service aspect of it. It is good but expensive.

I am due for my 4th service and I have spent around Rs.15300/- only on routine maintenance. With my kind of running, I'm nearing 12000kms in 8/9 months. So yes, it is expensive as long as you need to go to the SVC in warranty period. That is 24 months or 24000 kms. I am still fine with the service charges, what gets me is being forced to change oil every 4000 kms. Oils is wasted and so is our money. The same oil does a good job of 6000 and 10000 kms in some brands. Its not a bike issue, mind you. It's just DSK creating quasi profit for dealers and svcs.

I hope i have cleared most of your doubts. feel free to go through my ownership review for more inputs.

The search for my next motorcycle started soon after my last one, a Yamaha R15v2, which I fondly called Zurina, got stolen in Bangalore. This was in February 2014. I never got the motorcycle back, …

But yes as Binil said I'm too interested knowing the terms & condition of the extended warranty.
Binil check in Bangalore showroom for the availability of Extended warranty for existing customers.

15k for 4th service? That's sweet. And here I was, cribbing about spending 450 bucks on a Honda cam chain tensioner. I hope there aren't many people who bought a benelli on a loan.

15k ? Even my ford costs 2.5k for a service just for a change. I mean that is a ridiculously high service cost, whether it be an Italian or Indian Bike. I mean one would have to spent a hefty fortune just in the servicing itself.

I think he was saying he has spent 15k in routine maintenance and isnt telling the 4th service cost.

Oops, my bad. Somehow I missed the wording. But the 4 years warranty thing is pretty awesome. For DSK.

Is it possible to change both headlights of Mojo to 55w as stock headlights are 35w? We all konw that Mojo is very good tourer but is it suitable for city commuting?

This isn't the thread for this question. There is a separate Mahindra Mojo ownership thread. To answer your question, Yes stock headlights can be changed to brighter 55w and it is very stable and maneuverable in city traffic as well.
