Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Unlike other bike, adjusting beam in TNT is little complex. You have to open entire head assembly for same, please visit SVC & they will do it free of cost for you.Originally posted by vrock View Post

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
The handling charges are there is all bikes (only CKD & CBU) across different brands. Hence it's not just Benelli here. N yes, one more thing. DSK has a major role here in how things are run by the dealers and SVC here in India and hence you would find a bit of snow balling by them on things like choice of oil and the likes. I have raised the concern regarding service intervals too with DSK. I personally don't feel that there is much of an issue with service apart from the short service intervals and time taken to procure spares. Anyway keep that aside. take it in writing from the dealer on a split for the handling charges. It would vary from city to city. Sometime even within the city if there are two dealers. For eg. Mumbai and Thane.Originally posted by arkabose View PostThe handling charge that they are saying is for cost incurred in bringing the bike frm the factory till the showroom..
I enquired independently and the lifetime tax is around Rs 9000 (for bikes above 250cc) and registration costs another Rs 1000 or so.. But hw the showroom ppl are charging more than 30k is a complete mystery to me..
RTO - It is never a fixed charge. It is a percentage on the cost of ur vehicle before taxes. At least that is how it is in Bangalore and It was the same back in Kolkata when i got my R15 there. So higher the bike price the taxes and registration go up. Yes the percentage and slab is decided as per the CC and various other parameters as set by the RTO. eg. even ground clearance for SUVs.

booked my black tnt 300 on 17th april and took delivery on 10th of may. since then i have completed 700 kms
(cant wait to complete the first 1000 kms
).
really loving the bike more and more as the days pass. hope to complete 1000 kms in the next 3-4 days
.
there's only one small issue with my bike. that the high beam is set quite high.if anyone can guide me as to where the adjustment screw is located it would be really helpful.
2) A beam of light point directly upwards.is this problem with all the bikes? as i remember someone else had also mentioned this on the thread previously.Congrats @vrock - wishing u munch many miles ... godspeed.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostUnlike other bike, adjusting beam in TNT is little complex. Regarding the High beam adjustment, yes it is not as simple as it was on my R15 (hail yahama :P ). U need not open the entire assembly. I will try and share some pictures by the weekend.
All u need is a medium sized + screw driver and someone to sit on the bike as the beams would go up when u sit on it. so adjust the same accordingly.
If u are talking of only one beam that seems to go straight up from the headlight, that is a norm and will be there due to the shape of the head light. In fact if u have a low roof garage, switch on the light and u can see an image being formed on the roof by those rays
... So as long as ur visibility is ok no need to adjust the headlight to get rid of that one beam :P

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Guys my TNT 300 is in the service Centre for the last one month, just after the first service done only 600kms. Till date there is no satisfying clarification from DSK Benelli what exactly is wrong with the machine. Just a word of caution people who are thinking of making a purchase please give it a second thought.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Have sent a mail, it's attached below.Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostKindly elaborate on the issue. Why was it sent to SVC after first service ? What issue ?
n Which city are you from bro ?
Date of purchase 02-March-16, the bike was delivered on 06-March-16.
Chassis no. - MERTN301262B00017
Engine no. - BJ265MN-A58521138.
1st servicing done on 5th April 16, KM reading 604. Job no. - MMW/BNL/16179.
Since then there was a noise coming from the engine again went to the service Centre & was told it was normal, though it wasn't so went to the DSK Benelli showroom & checked with other bikes & asked the showroom manager Mr. Rahul to take a test ride of my bike & it was clear that the abnormal noise was there. My question is why did the service Centre people tried to convince me rather than taking care of the issue, why I had to go the showroom for the same. The quality of your service is pathetic & attitude is insane.
Again I gave the bike to the service Centre & got it back on 28th of April 16, job no. - MMW/BNL/1617/29 & was told it's been rectified, again it was a lie so once again went to the showroom & checked with other bikes again asked Rahul to check it once more, he confirmed the noise was still there, as it was so no rocket science. He called up the service Centre & I was asked to take the bike to the service Centre once again. I did so & it's been lying there since 02 of May 16. After about 10 days I was told that some Mr Keshav from Pune is coming & he will be carrying the spare part. He came on a Friday & was told the bike will be ready by Monday, it's been two weeks not able to understand which bloody MONDAY.
then the commitment was on Friday the 20th of May. Then on that very day the bike started giving starting trouble was told that the mechanic forgot to join the battery charging terminals, excuses that to silly ones.
My point is when I collected the vehicle after first service I was told you had carried out a full service, had diagnosed faults and had put these right.
Within few hours of service the vehicle developed serious fault rendering the vehicle unfit to ride. Which you had originally diagnosed and was supposed to have been put right by you. though I had to chase you up that there is a nagging noise coming from the engine which is not my duty but yours to listen to the consumer issue & rectify without giving wrong information that it's normal, damn it's a two wheeler not an aircraft that the consumer will go with your nonsense theories.
You are under legal obligation to carry out the work on my vehicle With reasonable skills and care, using parts of satisfactory quality and fit for the purpose.
One more thing there are wrinkles on the seat which is not acceptable from the stable of Benelli kindly take care of even that because it's hardly been ridden, take responsibility of your product rather than shying away & stop moulding the owners with the no sense of explanation about the problem with your product.
The above faults indicate that you failed to do so, I hope there will be a way of successfully resolving the issue without restoring to legal action.
