Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Thank you Kanth, for directing me to the website. Which color Benelli do you own? Are you planning to buy from the website or from shop at Lalbagh road? I'm thinking of making the online purchase.Originally posted by kanth View PostMy best bet here would be to go for MT as I believe its VFM product and I am also on the look for the same.
Thank you Venkadesh, I checked out the website and it has some amazing products well within my budget. Will be ordering either MT Blade Alpha or SPDX.Originally posted by venkadesh View PostI bought this helmet MT Blade SPDX Helmet(White & Black) from https://www.spartanprogear.com.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello Everyone.
I Have a benelli TNT300 Since more than a year now, am very happy with the Bike and its performance.
Now everyone has written the review i will keep it simple.
Reason for Purchase: I had booked a Bullet 500 and was never fan of Japaneses bikes, and Ducati and other brands are not affordable for me. The day i took the Test ride of the bike fell in love with the bike. Ajinkya from DSK Pune helped me with the Purchase. Then I Cancelled the Bullet booking. Purchase was smooth.
Took the Delivery of the bike on 30th April 2016.
Service Costs
1> First Service Cost 3500 (1200 kms)
2> Second Service Cost : 2750 (1800 kms)
3> Third Service Cost : 4800 (5700 kms )
4> Fourth Service Cost : 6600(8950 kms) (Changed Rear break pads 690 is the Cost)
Changed Clutch lever once cost Rs 450 and labor Rs 200.
Issues Faced :
1> Front left fork started leaking just a day after my third service: Called the Customer care, they arranged for the pickup and bike got repaired under warranty.
They charged me some Rs 180 for the Oil. Rest was free.
2> Sometimes used to give starting trouble, the mechanic sprayed the WD40 to the starting switch on handle bar and issue got solved. I wonder this never happened to my scooter in last five years.
Mileage am getting is around 27 km/lit mixed highway and city. Highways around 29/30 km/lit
Top speed i did : 171 km/hr Speedo indicated.
Long trips done: Dombivli - Goa -Dombivli
#/4 Pune tips
Rest all small rides to Malshej, Lonaval and charoti and few on Nh3
What i like:
+ Excellent power delivery.
+Sound
+ Mileage
+ Excellent riding position, and perfect seat height.
+ Excellent for highway cruising.
+ Looks, one of the best in the segments, it looks much bigger that what actually bike is.
What i dont like:
- Very basic instrument cluster, it feels cheap very cheap.
- Too soft seat for my liking, seat should be firm.
- Switch gear is very avg.
- Service: Andheri Service Center was bad. Thane is good
-Service intervals and service Cost: Thats too high for a 300 CC bike. We should all come forward and fight with DSK.
Extended warranty is a trap from DSK.
They should do something about the Service cost and service interval, then only it makes seance ow min service cost just labor is 2700 that doesn't makes sense.
But warranty is really tempting.
As other bikes in the same cat like R3, Ninja, CBR , KTM are much cheaper to service.
Otherwise bike makes my hearth beat faster .

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Well, I had a Honda CBR 250R till now and sold it yesterday, had very much planned on actually buying the Benelli 600i, but was left sorely disappointed after renting the bike to know how it would feel as I had it for 3 days with myself and at the same time had rented the Kawasaki ER6n too, which was with me for 4 days, and that thing just blew my mind off, it felt like a Duke 390 on Steroids!! and immediately I fell in love with it and the deal got even more sweeter now with the ER6N's price discount of 30k and booked it last week and the waiting has begun, hopefully by next week will get the bike. I will be mostly buying the MT Helmet from the shop itself which I mentioned it to you near Lalbagh Road as its near to my house.Originally posted by SultanUM View PostThank you Kanth, for directing me to the website. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hey guys,
Went to the thane showroom last weekend to test drive the TNT 25. My friend had categorically said that "DO NOT try the 300 if you want to buy the 25". So, no prizes for guessing that I did and my post here pretty much clears the air about my choice as well. Will book the bike in the coming week.
My first bike.
While the 25 seemed to have a better pick up, probably because of the light weight but the sheer presence of the 300, just standing there was just too damn good. I had already made my decision of chosing the 300 over the 25. The exhaust note just helped me ease my guilt of spending another 150K. Though something very odd happened. During the test ride the 300 actually skidded a few meters when i applied the breaks. The sales exec at the showroom said he'd get my name embossed because I might be the first one to have mentioned that.. :P
There's just one thing i needed to know before I actually book the bike, I'm a photography hobbyist and carry a decent amount of gear whenever i travel. Being an expensive hobby, the gear that i carry costs almost half as much as the bike and i'd like to ensure that it's safe. So i came across this box type storage. wanted to know if anyone has done this or if anybody knows whether the bike has the provision (or jugaad) to have the rack for this fixed? If yes, then where could that be done in Mumbai. Other suggestions are also welcome apart from this back-box option.
Thanks!

This is very much possible. Mount the rack on the same bolting positions as that of grab rails.
And do not keep any delicate things in the top box, unless the box is tightly packed.

Yeah, i have a lowepro back pack for the camera, so that isnt a problem.
So is there a rack available for the 300 or does it have to be custom made? Thanks for the help!

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Why is the price of this CKD bike getting hiked so much? [emoji53]
Does the ex-showroom price also differ with different cities? 🤔
Here in my city:
Ex-showroom: 308,000
Road tax: 41,000
Reg,scc,handling: 11,500
RSA: 2,500
Insurance: 9200
Total: 372,200 [emoji51][emoji379]
It's a whole different quote on the Internet. Damn.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I am using a HJC. If cost isn't an issue go for it. If you want among any of the above listed. MT Blade is one of the good ones. LS2 only the high end ones are really good and there are too many fakes around. Unless you get a helmet which is may be 50k upwards, forget about wind noise reduction. Any helmet will have some. What you need to look at is minimal buffeting at high speeds. For the noise i use ear plugs from 3M ...Originally posted by SultanUM View PostHey guys! To anyone who is reading this and is from Bangalore...
1. Please suggest, which of the following brand provides a good protective helmet and a VFM product: MT / LS2 / KYT / any other?
2. Where in the Bangalore city can I find the one that you suggested?
My requirement for the helmet:
1. Look of the helmet should gel well with the black Benelli 300.
2. Minimal wind whistling at high speeds.
3. I'm already over my budget for the bike. So please mention the cost if you have an idea.
Thanks
HJC i picked it up from Orion Motors. but i think they don't stock it anymore. It is still available at 6000 Miles from Isle of Man.
MT and other brands will be available near MTR in Laalbagh. Go to Adeshwars Ryders Arena - These guys are pretty well stocked.
Someone was discussing the other day with me that we should start a Change.org petition campaing asking DSK to reduce the ownership cost by increasing the service interval, if not reducing the cost.Originally posted by Parimal Gandhe View PostHello Everyone.

Yes it is differrent for different cities. Have noticed high handling charges in Calcutta. So i guess it depends on where the bike is shipped to. CKD & CBU prices go up and down as per the dollar value too. There has been variations time to time.Originally posted by SultanUM View PostWhy is the price of this CKD bike getting hiked so much? When i bought it last July, it was 3.54 onroad. Then at one point it went to 3.75 now as per u its 3.72

There is a rack available on Aliexpress, or you can make it also.Originally posted by hymnsofatraveler View PostYeah, i have a lowepro back pack for the camera, so that isnt a problem.

I got it done from a fabricator. You can also keep the grab rails with the rack. I have removed it as the rack itself act as a grab rail.

I am going to be buying this paddock stand from the same guy, I just wanted to know how did the package arrive as its 1 piece, how was it packed?Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostShared the details with you in PM. I had got it from a chap in Mumbai. At that time i had procured 18 units for the benelli group here in bangalore. Came to around 2900 a piece. As it was a bulk order delivery was free. You can check with him.
None of us have had issues with the stand yet. Its been close to a year.
