  • Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience

Finished my first service last week, at 920kms in coimbatore svc. Oil changed and chain lubricated. Overall costs around ₹3600/-. My problem with stator cover oil leak was controlled by changing the seal under warranty. Horn switch problems were sorted out by the technician, which happened due to loose joint behind the head light unit. Overall satisfied with the service.

Can anyone suggest me, if i can rev past 5k rpm after crossing 1500kms or should i have to wait till 1700kms? Very eager to rev upto 10k. Occasionally revved upto 7k, and was in love with the sweet note that mesmerised me and wanting more from it.

@prasssy strictly follow what is mentioned in the manual for better engine life. Rare occasional bursts are fine.

As for the damage concerns raised, one needs to be aware of what an air filter does and where it's limitations are. These filters are designed to run without any cleaning for 15000kms. But, if you are aware that you are using it in dusty condition, you should consciously clean them at 10000kms. or so.
Then the recharging of the air filters is an imp step people miss out. If you miss that the filter won't function as required.

As long as one takes care of such things, there is nothing to worry about.
Thanks Binil you really resolved my query

Hey man, you can get the tankpad from the dealer itself, its of good quality. But make sure its pasted firmly. It costs around ₹630 & ₹450. In 2 variants.

Side guards are also much important in case of bike falling down. There is a good quality product from the dealer, it costs around 7.5K

Note the tank pad left side is peeling off due to incorrect alignment. Please watch out for it.

Other than this it's your choice of modification or adding gadgets to the beauty.

                  Enjoy your ride!!!

Hi all, I had changed my rear brake pads two days back, my bike just clocked 9500k kms. Got the pads from Aliexpress which costs 1550 Rs/set. Happy with the product and took some 30minutes of time to change it by myself. As they are new, the disk tend to heat more due to friction, hope it will get normal once the pads gets even with the disk. Here my question is the friction between disk rotar and pads makes some annoying noise, like a rusted iron plates gets collied with eachother(only during hard brakes). Is this is normal with the new pads or anything i hve to make a concern of?

Hi Sam... There will be slight sound which is normal and will wear off... However if the noise is really loud then I would recommend you heading to the SC in priority.

Out of curiosity: why breaks from AliExpress. I am concerned about the genuinity of the item.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. By the way I just got finished my third service @ 8K km which means two months back from SVC, at that time when i enquired about my stock brake pads the mechanic promised me that it will last till the next service (12k km) but @9k kms itself i heared some scraping sound from my disk rotar, when i checked i found that the pads just got finished and it was running with the pad supporter and also the service center guys quoted me 4k for a set of pads which seems too high for me. I have planned for a 1000km ride next week too. I have got some good review about the pads online, though iam little sceptical about the product i made an order 20 days back and it arrived last week. I couldnt find any defect or quality issue with the pads, so installed as i was in a need of it. Thanks once again for your suggestion, I will wait some time for the pads to wear out a little, sure i will visit the SVC if the sound persist

Would recommend the following if you want to avoid the DSK Benelli Brake Pads from SVC. It's a known brand and works well too.

                                EBC Brake Pads
