Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I too agree the fact that the svc looks for spares usage and that's how they earn and iam not gonna dump my bike inside the garage in hesitation of spending 4k. We may not an expert but we too know what's going on in our bike from the way it behaves ans thats why I wasn't ready to change the whole set, what iam expecting from them is to show some professionalism in their work, my question is are they not good at diagnosing the issue or they are just trying to convienc us to get their spares for no reason?? still the procurement time is the same as tooks ages to arrive. Why they are not working on it!!!Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostYes handle bar bends can be repairs in a lathe to quite an extent. Usually the worry is with the new model bikes where the handle bars are not made of steel. Still, there is a possibility of correction. Now, regarding svc. 95% of the time an svc will always look at spares usage. That's how they earn money, right? But yeah instead of telling u a quote of 4k, they should have tried with just the aane bar replacement. It would have been less than 2k and the deed would have been done.

You are not 100% correct. As you say SVC guys are also not 100% correct. The fact is that some problems cannot be corrected or shouldn’t be. Like rim, handlebar, you cannot be always confident on getting it corrected it with local mechanics. Its all about how much the damage is. My bike got with an accident, where a 2 wheeler tyre entered between the gear rod and body, my gear rod moved apart upto 4-5 inches, like it moved outwards from its alignment like V instead of its original position “II”. I asked the svc guys to solve my problem, they said please bring the bike to svc and we will sort out the issue, but its 220kms for me to go to my nearest svc. So got it repaired with a local ktm mechanic. You wont believe what he did. He just pushed the gear rod back to it’s alignment with his bare foot. And changed the gear rod bushing with some lathe work. Total cost is ₹350/-. But the problem is solved but not fully satisfied, since it needs replacement and hence the genuineness is not achieved. Still the gear rod moves left & right. So what i am to say is that do what is necessary with the necessary peoples. For simple problems you can deal with local guys. But for others depend on svc guys only.Originally posted by samhassan View PostI too agree the fact that the svc looks for spares usage and that's how they earn and iam not gonna dump my bike inside the garage in hesitation of spending 4k. You can see the markings of the hit impact in the gear rodLast edited by prasssy; 12-05-2017, 09:31 PM.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I plan to take my 300 for the 4th service to the SVC in Bangalore.Hope they dont rip me offOriginally posted by samhassan View PostI had spoke with the SVC guys about my front wheel wobbling...they took the bike for a spin and found out that the handle bar is twisted a little...i askd them is there any way to solve this but they suggest me to change the whole set which costs around 4k plus labour..but it wasn't look like that much big issue for me to change the entire set, so i came from ther wid half mind and seeking for some miracle to happen...i said miracle right?? On the way i was happen to go to "pudhupeattai" a specialized automobile area in chennai where you can get any spare parts in cheap(means scraped from old bikes or cars). Actually i went to get shock absorbers for my apache...i told a mechanic about the handle and is there anything he could help with, he just had a little smile on his face and asked me to show my bike, he just had a look from the front of the bike with a little tilted head, steered the handle left to right on standing position...believe me he didnt even took it for a ride, i wasn't realy in a thought to give my bike to them, but the way he diagnosed gave some confidence, i was watching keenly and waiting for his reply..he told it can be solved but he wasn't sure because unlike normal handle this one is made of aluminium which tends to broke if handeled inappropriate...so i asked him to gave a try but request him not to break it..he took it to the leath and took one hour to get the job done...he came with the handle and installed it, asked me to go for a ride, i cant even believe it, it was perfectly alright and one of my friend took it for a spin again to double check the correction...he was also happy with it., i thank god for everything and payed only 350rs for it. The guy made my day ofcourse...i was very much worried about the money i had spent for the bike last month, it went out of my budget, service, tyre, front fender and now this handlebar.. That taught me always to have some buffer for unexpected things. I was realy wondered about the SVC guys, if they cant do anything with the issue, atleast they would've guide me to look for any other alternative...they are not even ready to diagnose the core problem, the first thing they suggest you is to change it as if it costs cheap..this is what the same thing happend with the bent rim, but its still running well and holding air with no issue..these incidents makes me lost confidence on SVC guys. Hope the things will change in future.
..I have a strange problem on my bike.Has done only 4K km ..The bike goes off .yes the engine dies when i switch on the HL or press the pass switch..The display goes blank and then i need to move the key around a bit and then the display comes on..after 3-4 times of this i am able to switch on the Headlight and it all works fine..battery issue? some wiring is short? alternator or ECU problem? keeping my fingers crossed..

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Whatever the issue is it can be done under warranty. Make sure you remove any accessories fitted that may void warranty before going to SVC (like phone charges etc).Originally posted by Max Mridul View PostI plan to take my 300 for the 4th service to the SVC in Bangalore.Hope they dont rip me off

Not without connecting a meter or something to the battery.Originally posted by ABPatwardhan View PostWhatever the issue is it can be done under warranty. Make sure you remove any accessories fitted that may void warranty before going to SVC (like phone charges etc).

On an average I have managed to keep the bike without use even after a month with no battery issues at all. There are a few people who have mentioned that battery went dead after 3 months of no use.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Got the bike serviced at the Bangalore SVC..Finding the place was a task..it shares the building with Yamaha's service centre and the board is on top of the building.. coming to my experience with the SVC.over all v good..Suresh was helpful and the engine cut off issue was due to a loose contact that caused it to short(as rightly mentioned by Brokenbinil.) Bike feels and rides much better..Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostSounds like a short circuit

maxsarat - boss, DSK group owns DSK Motowheels. Simple Google check would have led you to the DSK group website which shows they own DSK Hyosung as well as the DSK Motowheels. In fact, Sirish Kulkarni, son of DS Kulkarni, is running the show.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Likely the joint venture has broken up, or they are about to. Of course the public is last to know.. Just imagine the plight of the guys who invested in DSK groups FD scheme. Some people have put in 2-3 crores.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostNowadays dsk is removed from benelli India website now it shows benelli QJ. I don’t know what’s going on
