And DO NOT try to repair it. It will only become weak and give away some day on impact. If at all you want to replace claim insurance.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
1955km on the clock. The bike went in to the shop for a check engine light after some massive stumbling.
I was casually riding to work yesterday and when I got to about 4k rpm in 2nd the bike began stumbling horribly. I twisted the throttle a little and it was losing power very quickly. I upshifted and the bike regained its composure. I rode to work (rest of the ride was fine) and when I pulled in I realized that the check engine light was on. I started the bike up at work and it didn't want to start up as smoothly as usual. It hesitated a little finding idle.
I dropped it off at the shop. The bike is still under warranty, thank God. I asked the tech if he has ever seen this before and he said no. Great...
They spent most of the day today doing "diagnostic" work, but hadn't found anything when I spoke with them at the end of the day. Hoping tomorrow will yield some answers.

Update on the bike
After three days of diagnostics they haven't found the problem. They are giving the bike back to me and want to run another diagnostic at the 2500 km service. Not very confidence inspiring.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I am new to this thread.I got my Benelli 300 last month.I have 2 questions to the experienced riders here.
How to get a puncture fixed ?I use the bike to commute to my office and if i find the tyre to be flat should I call the local puncture guy to fix it? as towing it it the puncture shop will damage the tyre..Also every time i move/push the air nozzle on the wheel ,,some air escapes..Is this normal?
2.Can I fix the Osram H7 bulb with out a relay and cut out etc?
Thanks

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello,
Few days ago, after my Goa ride I was facing vibration issues with my bike. Not only foot pegs but whole bike was vibrating even at 70 kmph 6th gear. Ride was not smooth like it used to be after first service.
After getting it checked from SVC they told me its due to chain and adjusted it, that didn't solve the problem. So after 2 weeks again I gave the bike for checking.
Some Background -
1st Service - 800 kms - Oil changed
2nd Service - 2900 kms - No oil change
Current Kms - 5000
After checking oil was bad, black in color with little chunks of metal that you can feel. Initially I thought its due bad oil. But as per service adviser vibrations are not due to bad oil. After complete checking turns out front rim bearing are gone (Thanks to bad roads in Maharashtra). Stock ones are Chinese ones they get easily damaged, changed it with SKF 4204-2RS (Model number for 300) bearings. As per SVC guy they are good for another 50k kms and its quality product. 460/- Rs for a pair + 375 Labor charges.
I also changed Oil and oil filter from 3rd Service. (from AMC Package)
If your running is high, check the oil after every 4k kms change it if needed. AMC is not beneficial in this case.
If anyone is facing same vibration issue check your wheel bearing.
Regards,
Abhshek

Do you need to change ECU mapping after this?Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostNot very noticeable in lower revs but go beyond 8000 rpm... It's whole new level of harmony. It revs much faster, expected due to close to 30% increase in airflow.
Effect in fuel efficiency, too soon to comment.

No need for ecu remap... That would be needed if u also add a performance exhaust system.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Seems like DSK group is in a bit of a legal tangle. Apparently they haven't paid PF to their employees accounts for some months, and there are several cases filed against the DSK group head, and his wife. Many people who have invested money in the group's Fixed deposit scheme, some to the tune of several crores, have allegedly sued DSK for cheating. If those allegations and cases turn out to be genuine, I wonder what is the future of Benelli in India..
Any thoughts on this brokenbinil

I also read about it recently, have no clue on how that is going to impact their Benelli setup, if at all it does.Originally posted by leech View PostSeems like DSK group is in a bit of a legal tangle. I am told that the DSK Toyota dealership in Pune has also run into problems. And that Toyota may pull out of DSK.Originally posted by leech View PostSeems like DSK group is in a bit of a legal tangle. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Guys DSK Benelli and DSK group is different company all together, DSK Benelli is a joint venture between DSK MOTOWHEELS AND BENELLI ITALY. In no way DSK group is holding any share in this joint venture so stop worrying about all this and enjoy your rides with Benelli bikes. Infact Benelli would be launching many new bikes in India showed at EICMA 2017. Benelli had great future ahead in India.Originally posted by Max Mridul View PostI am told that the DSK Toyota dealership in Pune has also run into problems. And that Toyota may pull out of DSK.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Guys, my bikes front wheel is wobbling while doing 150-160kmph, evrything is normal even at the speed of 100-140kmph, but while pushing it beyond, the front wheel wobbles a little and when i realized it first, i slowed down and tried again, this time it was brutal and pissed me off a lttle, it wasnt like this before my accident, is this because of my new tyre or any alignment issue in my fork stem?? will the influence of tyre pressure cause this??
NOTE: Iam still running the bike with BENT rim.

Is the wheel properly balanced?

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Two points to look at. Dirty fuel. or One of the spark plugs not firing momentarily.Originally posted by ThirtyOne View Post1955km on the clock. The bike went in to the shop for a check engine light after some massive stumbling.

Punctures : Avoid the usual tube less puncture repair kits as they do not work well in Soft Compound tires. Either opt for the mushroom types repair kit (sold in india by Grand Pit Stop), Some good puncture shops also have these. Else avoid the whole thing and use tyre protector. different brands available in India. Ride On, Slime, Tyre Protector. etc. Its a liquid which stays inside the tyre and seals when a puncture happens. Can handle upto 4 MM size holes easily.Originally posted by Max Mridul View PostI am new to this thread.I got my Benelli 300 last month.I have 2 questions to the experienced riders here.

2.Can I fix the Osram H7 bulb with out a relay and cut out etc?
Thanks
Bulbs : T3 comes with H7 setup and I am using the Osrams Nighbreaker Unlimited. Stick to the standard 55 W set up as anything higher might damage the reflectors.
RIM is the culprit. Additionally check the Cone Set, Stem Nut and forks for alignment.Originally posted by samhassan View PostGuys, my bikes front wheel is wobbling while doing 150-160kmph, evrything is normal even at the speed of 100-140kmph, but while pushing it beyond, the front wheel wobbles a little and when i realized it first, i slowed down and tried again, this time it was brutal and pissed me off a lttle, it wasnt like this before my accident, is this because of my new tyre or any alignment issue in my fork stem?? will the influence of tyre pressure cause this??
