Today went to the SVC regarding frame slider replacement and horn problem. Horn was changed under warranty as like they promised and slider was repalced as well. People @Anna nagar SVC(Chennai) were very helpful throughout the process and they know what they are doing. Told them about a small issue with my front brake lever which tend to be more proxiimal towards the handlebar, the mechanic let bleed some brake oil from the caliper and ta daaaa evrything was fine after that[emoji106]🏼. Everything was done for free of cost🤗

You can buy from Bikeopedia.in, I purchase muc-off dry lube from there only.

I am also using tribocor dry lube, it lasts from around 900 kms in dry environment. I purchased from mangalore dealer.

            Hi drive_angry

Good to hear from you. Yes, the Benelli showroom shutting down / dealership change is a bummer. They told me that they have found a dealer and the showroom should start operating at a newer location alongside another brand showroom. This should take about 45 days. However no confirmation on this update. I am wondering how the existing owners are getting the servicing done. However, chandigarh is filled with lots of non authorized service centers and lots of my known people get their cars and bikes serviced from there and have reported excellent feedback. However I am not inclined for something like that on a new bike. Lets hope something positive on the dealership front.

Jalandhar DSK Benelli informed me as well that they are about to organize a Test Ride Camp in chandigarh. I am looking forward to it. Maybe we can meet up there.

I have heard loads about the KTM 390 and mostly good. However, I am not sure I will be the most comfortable on the bike, being 6 feet tall. The stance of the Duke is not what I am looking for. However, I have never ridden one. I am sure it is fun for a short duration and may start giving trouble to the wrists after some time. Pillion comfort is quite important in my case.

I like the HD street rod, (the new one, not the old street 750). I also like the upcoming Kawasaki Vulcan S. However both of them will make me stretch quite a bit out of my budget. Comparing to Benelli TNT 300, there is no other bike in this price segment.

Have you heard of Benelli Leoncino and Benelli TRK 500. They are also supposed to launch in coming months. In any case, as of now, TNT 300 is the only bike I find matching my needs.

            Cheers..

Yes, I had been to MotoCafe recently, it seems the Tribocor supply is delayed.
Wurth is another good brand. I have used it a couple of times. Not sure if they have the dry type available though. As I wasn't getting the dry lube I am using the Tribocor SuperLube.

2 Times off a 500ml can seems fishy. I have used 500ml cans for close to 5000kms.
              i don't have a carbon footprint, i ride everywhere !

Good to hear from you too brother. If its a matter of 45 days, that is something we can adjust, I think. Existing owners are getting their bike repaired at their home only. In addition to humoungus service charges, owners would have to pay the travel fees for the service personnel from and to your place. I think this trust issues is holding me back to take sides with DSK-Benelli. What if tomorrow, like Ducati, Benelli too decides to pack up their bags and just leave? Although they are launching new products like Benelli 302R and we have already seen new cruiser based motobike (mobike?) but I am not sure about their association with infamous DSK.

OT: DSK-Toyota has also closed shops in Pune's Hadapsar. Reason unknown

Even I have the same idea, once bike's warranty expires, I am going to look for some reliable and more affordable option. Its sad to buy a bike with such certainity. I don't want to end up associated with a company like DSK-Hyosung (Showroom beside Mahindra, Industrial Area, Chandigarh).

For KTMs, I am in the same predicament. I too am about 6"1' ish and I feel bike would look puny when I sit on it. I am yet to take test drive on the 2017 variant. Any Idea if Madhya Marg KTM is offerering test rides to 'prospective' buyers? What I don't understand is, why would one's wrists hurt if the rider is sitting in an upright position? or are the erogs changed in 2017 Duke?

I am not laid back crusing type person and hence steered away from harleys but Street Rod 750 sounds interesting. I havent seen Street Rod 750 in flesh, yet. my budget is limited to 3-4L hence i am not considering those bikes. I would prefer Kawasaki & Ducatis over harleys. Scrambler Icon is another good choice. Speaking of, yes, I have heard about Leocino, this bike is perfect knock off the scrambler and Benelli was ridiculed for its "Chinese" origins. Do you have any idea when is this bike coming out?

As of now, Benelli and Duke390 are the only ones I am considering. when are you looking to buy. I am assuimng year end, when the prices drop. Yes definately, We will meet up when Benelli organises a test ride camp in Chandigarh. Ill inform here if and when I get to know. Could you please do the same. Thanks!

My TNT had horn switch issue, which had not been working since 2 days. When enquired about it, informed that it would be replaced under warranty if needed. But i got it repaired from local electrician which costed me 5mins and ₹50/-. The horn switch is same as that of pulsar. Its purely of low quality. Actually this problem looks like as if there is problem with horn, but not it is.

My nearest SVC is in coimbatore, which is 230 kms from my city. So cant depend on them for every issues. Got some confidence that the machine is made for India, which means easy to repair locally too. But not the case in major issues, like oil leak in stator motor packing. Which has to be checked by servicemen only. I have clocked juz under 700 kms.

                    Hello All,

I went to Benelli-Nagar Road, Pune for a longish test ride but the moment I reached there I was told some prospective buyer has crashed the bike and its in service center for repairment. I was told that the bike will be available on Monday. So with heavy heart I returned back but before leaving I had a good discussion with the store personnel (& one owner who had come for accessories) he said some fascinating things which are too good to be true.

                    1. TNT 300 is coming with ABS and will be launched on 5th of Sep. They are currently clearing the existing stock.
                    2. The new TNT300's price will be bumped up to 3.95L
                    3. Happy savings plan is valid across states. Its already been confirmed here that its not. I am not sure why said that. marketing gimmick?
                    4. I had a short test ride of TNT302R. Benelli sure knows how to sound them right (read: orgasmic). if you guys get a chance, do check the exhaust note of 302R, its more on treble side rather than on 300’s basey side.

                    Cheers!

Hi guys had anybody heard of Wolfmoto ECU remap for Benelli 300, their website says that after the remap the power bumps upto 43bhp.Also their is a change in 0 -100 kmph timing. I have heard few of the owners had already done this remap with their bikes and very happy with the performance as quoted by Wolfmoto team.

I am guessing the "getting the service guy to chandigarh and back" is a headache and quite unreasonable. For new owners, I understand, there are only oil top-ups and minor filter changes. But what about the owners who have had the bike for more than about an year. What if there is an urgent repair required, for some reason. You would have to ride the bike to Delhi or Jalandhar. In the event of a crash, the bike has to go to the dealership.

Either, there should be a dealership / service centre in the city, or you should know how to service your own bike, or you need to know someone who you trust your bike with. The best option is to have a dealership. Currently I do not see a reason for DSK to repeat the history, as they did with hyosung. It is highly unlikely that Benelli is planning a wrap up when they are happily introducing new bikes in the market. Let's be honest, they have had a better share of the market, due to the 600i if compared to Ducati and Hyosung. They know their target customers. No other bike company except Kawasaki has so many models under one brand name. (Affordable ones). However, nothing is confirmed. Its a risk. Lets stay positive about new chandigarh dealership.

KTM - I am not sure about the Madhya Marg showroom and whether they are providing test rides. With what I have read about the bikes, the riding stance is more aggressive than its predecessor. Personally for me, riding with my feet placed directly under or behind my butt is not comfortable. Riding in this stance shall make you lean forward and therefore, I guess, strains your arms and wrists, unless you duck and keep riding. There are people who are comfortable in this position, but I know I will not be. Though I will still make it clear, that I have not ridden the 390 yet. It is definitely a power bomb and a work of finesse. But this bike is not for me.

Street Rod 750 - The bike is beautiful. In flesh. The riding stance is not laid back at all. However, one needs to learn to adjust with the seating posture on this one since it is not meant for taller guys. The kness would come above the tank on this one. But it scores on engine, power, torque, brakes, style and looks. But i cant afford one right now.

Leoncino and TRK 502 - The Leoncino is supposed to launch around Diwali and TRK around the valentine's day, or vice versa. Scramblers are the latest fad in the industry. Everyone's coming out with one.

I reiterate, TNT 300 is the bike that still matched my needs and my pocket.

Dude, you're in Chandigarh or Pune or both?

Call it a coincidence, when i went for the test ride in delhi, I was told the same thing, that a dude crashed the bike and therefore the bike is at the service center! Everyone crashes or its just a gimmick to buy the bigger models. Dunno. However, they did let me ride the one in the showroom, since I waited at the showroom for 4 hours for the rain to stop. (also I had come to the showroom in delhi from noida and th distance was over 50 Kms, to and fro)

TNT 300 ABS launching in September was not expected, since there is no news about it. I know that its launched abroad and is being sold. Well it certainly is a good news. Price bump, however, not so much of a good news. Happy Savings plan is there in delhi and jalandhar. Will you be buying the bike in Pune?

302R is the talk of the town right now! Hope you enjoyed the ride.

The test ride camp that was supposed to happen last friday, at Chandigarh, didnt happen, thanks to Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Lets see when things get sorted. I think we need a lot of patience when it comes to Benelli, especially in a city like Chandigarh

I have been reading up on these guys, the only thing that's putting me off is it is not a piggy back ecu, yes this setup saves over all cost but considering they would be flashing your existing ECU, I'm a little sceptical.

Hi Binil I had asked the powertronic team in Mumbai to give me a trail of their Piggy back system, if I really find that with the Piggy back their is an bump in power I would think to go for it.Also the Wolf Moto team is providing a remapped ecu with an security deposit to test in your bike, if you are not happy with the result they have a money back plan also.

Just a piece of info that I received from the dealer today:

                              1. TNT300 ABS to be launched on Sep 1, 2017. He quoted 3.93L on-road in Pune. (incl. RTO, 2Years RSA, 4Years warranty)
                              2. TNT300 non-ABS to be discontinued.
                              3. AMC packages (price is inclusive of GST)
                              i. Rs.9000: Includes 3 service in 4 months intervals, so approx 1 year depending on how much you ride
ii. Rs. 18000: Includes 6 service in 4 months intervals, so approx 2 years. He said, 6th service is the costliest, so the amount of saving in this plan is more.

Hope this helps prospective buyers (hopefully me too ).

That sounds good. I am yet to come across anyone with a powertronic unit in Bangalore. They had contacted many of us here for testing. I had even given my name. No news after that.

Wolf Moto option sounds good. Will explore the same.
