Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hi Drive angry I had the Benelli 300 for last 2 years and never faced any issue with the bike, this bike is awesome for touring you can do nonstop 300kms + ride without any fatigue seats are like sofa sets super comfy. I had IXIL installed in my bike which makes the bike head turner wherever it goes. The reason I wanted to sell it because I always wanted an inline 4, so planning to upgrade to some inline 4 bikes.Originally posted by drive_angry View PostHello Maxsarat, Just to get the state of your mind since I am contemplating to buy this machine (or D390) from Chandigarh.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Quick update on the Puig Rafale windscreen and some thoughts on the TNT300 after a month of ownership.
I reached out to Revzilla last week after the plastic clamps failed for the Rafale universal windscreen. Revzilla has contacted the manufacturer. As of now they are looking for any old stock all metal brackets. Puig has now switched to these new plastic clamps as standard
Fingers crossed that they are able to source some of the old style full metal clamps.
The TNT300.
I have had the bike now for a little over a month and have been commuting to work on it daily. I managed to get out of the city once for a 180km round trip ride to a nearby city. During that ride I was limited to 8k rpm and noticed that the twin really comes alive from 5500rpm.
Here in the city the bike is perfectly manageable. I recently gave the fork adjuster 1 full twist clockwise which has significantly helped front end dive under braking while not making the front end overly harsh on the very terrible roads here in Tegucigalpa. I have yet to properly set the preload for the rear, and an adjuster tool is in transit as we speak. I will set the sag when it arrive and see if the overall ride quality of the bike improves. I do hope it does, as the roads here, even the paved ones, are in pretty poor shape.
Last week I passed 1600km and decided it was time to give it the beans. Now let me preface this with the fact that I've owned a Triumph 675 for a number of years (105bhp, dynoed at 100rwhp, and it weighs 50lbs less than the TNT300) and a 1050 Speed Triple (128bhp), so bigger bikes are part of my past. I also rode a Honda 250cc Tornado dual sport bike for a number of years with a whopping 21hp at the crank and toured quite a bit on it.
The TNT is perfectly suitable for riding, community and light touring. The power comes on quickly as the revs climb, which gives a nice rush and seat of the pants feel as the engine begins howling. It has a very smooth motor is and tractable from low revs, which is how I like to ride. I prefer torque to push than high revs to pull. This has always been my riding style, to short shift. Is the bike a rocket? No. But it's zippy enough, in my opinion is lovely to look at and easily returns 68.5mpg (latest recording). With this in mind, I would have loved if this bike had 55-60hp, but then again, once you have 55, then you want 60, then 70, and so it goes on and on forever.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Update on the Puig Rafale windscreen. I have heard back from Revzilla who has been looking into everything with the manufacturer:
"We have to wait to get these replacements from Spain. We will ship to this customer as soon as received, might be 2-3 weeks.
The metallic clamps are the old model and cannot be mounted on the support he has. We will send him the ones he has now but with a slight modification."
I guess we shall have to wait and see what "slight modification" looks like.
On an unrelated note, the Benelli is running fine. I haven't had any chances to get out of the city on it recently, but I did go to the dealer today to have the rear shock set a little stiffer as it was bouncing quite a bit. I have a wrench coming in the mail soon, and will properly set the sag myself next week. I have also noticed that the fueling on the bike is not very smooth when the engine is cold. I let it warm up to about 40 celsius before heading to work in the morning and at slow speeds around the parking garage in 1st gear, steady throttle causes the engine to stumble just a little. Once the engine gets over 60 degree it runs just fine. Ive also noticed its usual operating temperature is around 78 degrees.
I'm still waiting on my Givi Trekker box from the USA, so the rear rack is still in my apartment awaiting installation. Side racks due to arrive on Wednesday. I'm curious if the Givi box works on the side racks despite what the vendor says.

That would decrease the performance slightly. Pickup would be less, top speed & mileage would increase marginally.Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostI noticed that the rear sprocket size in this file is 43 tooth and our bikes here in India have 44 tooth. Not to come off wrong, but have you considered it's the way you're riding the bike? For them to wear that quickly could be due to user error.Originally posted by iBlaziner View PostClutchplates weared out 2 years old bike, recently Serviced the bike it costed whooping ₹14000 for Bike Service, Rear Brake Pad Change & Some small parts. On the Honduran front, I received my side luggage racks today. They came from Italy to the USA and now to Honduras. I got a good deal and the system looks like it's well made.
Unfortunately, I am still waiting for my Givi box. My friend had it shipped a month ago and there's still no sign of it.
So racks for days and no boxes! Arrrrgggg

That is because of the bulb that must be fused..change the bulb and it should be okay..Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostIf there isn't any physical damage it will be covered in warranty terms. Front is flashing faster because rear isnt working. Check the connectors for loose connection. Else visit svc.
