You can talk to them and get it waived off if they agree in letting you handle these things. But that hasnt been the case whatsoever anywhere. Its a pure f***ing rip-off from every customer.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Did you inquire what is the Handling charge is all about. See if they give you any rational explanation. Usually, they are levied for holding your bike in their stockyard, taking it to the RTO and back to the stockyard/showroom.Originally posted by arkabose View Post

The RTO & Tax is beyond you or the dealer control. Its a government norm. We pay the highest in Bangalore i think. 3.75 onroad. :/Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostDid you inquire what is the Handling charge is all about. Handling charges, include - warehousing, stocking, RTO underhands, the logistics related to the bike. This is a norm in all imports that come. IIRC - it was around 15k in bangalore.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello people of xbhp i've been reading some of your posts for quite sometime now. You guys helped me fix my mind onto the benelli 300. At first it was going to be the tnt 600 and since i use my bike on a daily basis thought i'll go with the smaller brother. Now that i've booked a tnt 300 thought why not drop a comment . Wazzaa

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
The handling charge that they are saying is for cost incurred in bringing the bike frm the factory till the showroom.. But tats b***s*** as logistics is a part of the ex show room price and about the rto fees and the tax part.. I enquired independently and the lifetime tax is around Rs 9000 (for bikes above 250cc) and registration costs another Rs 1000 or so.. But hw the showroom ppl are charging more than 30k is a complete mystery to me.. Either my info is wrong or they are completely ripping us off..Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostDid you inquire what is the Handling charge is all about. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Correct. If the handling charges were because it's a CKD, wouldn't it be a part of the ex-showroom price? Why would the dealer need to charge it? Unless the dealer transports the CKD kits from China to the factory which I think is highly unlikely.Originally posted by arkabose View PostIts a ckd.. Handling charges are just a way for the dealer to rip off unsuspecting customers. And charging 11k for a 3L bike is a huge rip off. Comparison, Volkswagen showrooms in Bombay charge 5k as handling charges for the Vento. A vehicle almost four times the size of the motorcycle.
Benelli isn't very concerned when it comes to reining in their dealers. The average service cost varies greatly from dealer to dealer. Also, I've noticed the spare part prices are exorbitant and the service intervals are very short. 4k? That's like 3-4 services per year for the average biker.
People considering Benelli's should keep in mind that owning one is an expensive affair.

They have to give details for every money you paid, there should be NO hidden costs in bills. If you can give a complaint in consumer court or ask support from moto blogs.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hey guys.
have been following this thread since quite a while and it really helped in finalizing my bike.
booked my black tnt 300 on 17th april and took delivery on 10th of may. since then i have completed 700 kms
(cant wait to complete the first 1000 kms
).
really loving the bike more and more as the days pass. hope to complete 1000 kms in the next 3-4 days
.
there's only one small issue with my bike. that the high beam is set quite high.if anyone can guide me as to where the adjustment screw is located it would be really helpful.
2) A beam of light point directly upwards.is this problem with all the bikes? as i remember someone else had also mentioned this on the thread previously.
