Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Benelli is about brand value, buddy. If pride of ownership rocks your boat, then by all means get one. Just don't take a loan to buy one, and then crib about the costs.Originally posted by paradoxr9019 View PostWay too costly compared to KTM
I really want to own the 300 but the spare and labour are the only things making me to think again..
Ktm spares prices are at least 200% less

Well bro.. I know that KTMs parts are manufactured here at India and sorry that you feel that they are bad.Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostKTM is manufactured in india, hence lower cost of spares. Also the build quality of KTM isn't anywhere close to that of the Benellis
Actually.. they are not as bad as you say.. Ask any KTM owner.
very much usable and affordable.

See, part of owning a bike is the buying experience, and the looks, the sound, the attention.Originally posted by paradoxr9019 View PostThat's exactly what I too think.. I am on a tight budget

Now, DSK does exactly that. They are very friendly and respectful, and make sure your buying experience is memorable. Some dudes even got free keychains and lube. Compare that to my Honda CBR250 purchase, where they didn't have a test ride, the sales guy didn't know anything about the bike, and, when I requested them not to waste my time, finally got the owners bike to test ride! I got nothing free, in fact, some lowlife mech snicked a tool from my toolkit, which I found out after buying. The send off from the dealer was thus - key given, plus 1l petrol slip. This, after I politely requested them that this is my first bike.
Still went ahead with the purchase, because its a solid bike, less maintenance, and good comfort. I would wade through any number of buffoons to get my thing done.
Benelli's are head turners, no doubt about it. If you're in need of an ego boost, then Italian is the way to go. The looks, the sound, is just amazing. But then, a ~160 kmph top speed really flattens out the bling feeling you get. The 0-100 performance is on par with the CBR 250, as per reviews.
I believe DSK has a very good business strategy. To provide an anology, you cannot just walk up to a cow and milk it, or you will get a swift kick for your efforts. You have to establish a relationship, make the cow feel special. Then, when the time is right, you can start squeezing. So the cow is happy, and you are happy.
No offense to any bike owners, Benelli or Honda. Nothing is perfect, so we end up comparing. If there is no competition, there is no innovation.

Thanks to all, So its no different than Hyosung experience , only plus side is better quality than the first one, rest every thing is same.
well KTM costs more in purchase/spares/maintanance outside India, if it would have an import then it would have been same

very much usable and affordable. No offense to any KTM owners. My apologies if I did offend anyone. My statements are because of my experience with the KTM Dukes, 1st gen. I was so put off that i did not try checking out the new editions. Of what i hear, KTM/Bajaj has done a good job in improving the niggles on the bike. I am yet to experience them myself.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostI'd say they are pretty close TBH. Especially the new models.
Someone rightly mentioned that KTMs are cheaper because they are manufactured in India. But I did not mean nor do i agree that just because the manufacturing is in India, the quality would be bad or not up to standards. I know of friends back in UK who own the India manufactured KTM 200 & 390s. Even in Singapore for that matter. Bajaj wouldn't accept this but the quality and feel of the product sold outside India is different. They are far better. Of course they cost more too.
