Hi Guys...Just wanted to Share my Experience , Please note that i am not trying to putdown anyone here, just bringing in some honest first hand experience , i was just about to become a TNT 300 owner , but visiting the showroom and workshop in Delhi changed my Mind.

My background : Service and Operations Engineer for Engines of ( 30,000Kw -50,000Kw ) Big Massive engines and other such allied machinery , Makers of such engines are usually German / Japanese. Makers : Man B&W , Wartsila , Mitsubishi. Also have experience in sales and marketing.

Visited the showroom recently in Delhi , did not tell anything about my background , Though there was no TNT 300 on display at the showroom, Then what started was just pitching for the bike, anyway i had loved the TNT 300 before actually seeing the bike throughly with an engineer's eye, found few shortcomings , was asked to go the workshop to see the beautiful machine in flesh, which thank god , i did and this is what changed my mind .

      Point 1.

I told them about the Lube Oil Issue , ( I have the service manual of the Bike and Bennelli Australia Owner's Manual ) Where it clearly says using any 10W50 (or 40 , i don't remember ) oil will not void the warranty .......btw Petronas is the preferred oil for Bennelli in Australia , same oil in india will cost 1500 for 3 Litres !! They told DSK governs a lot of issue in India , I found this quite unfair and a way to earn revenue and suck more money out of their customers. DSK Sucks !!

Note here Motul has tie-up with DSK, Not Bennelli , this is another way of earning more money by fooling their customers. I referred this forum and Said that SVC Bangalore and Chennai have agreed to top-up Oil after the first service , though i agreed to change the oil at first service which is ok as initial wear will be there.

THEY DID NOT SEEM TO AGREE AND SAID DSK WON'T ALLOW IT.

Point 2 . Though the mechanics manohar and the other one whose name i don't remember were friendly but lacked very very basic knowledge in service engineer's terms and they claimed to have been trained by Bennelli Italy.

Like when i asked them , you are dumping the lub Oil after every service , why don't you check it after 1st service . The answer was shocking, they said Lub Oil needs to be sent to lab, which is an absolutely idiotic answer.

we can do 2 basic test with LO to figure out the most important property of lub oil ( load carrying capacity ) and these tests can be done with something as random as filter paper.

Point 3. Saw a TNT 300 ( 1800Km ) , which came for service and was shocked to see the condition of
sprocket , asked the mechanic , do you use the sprocket profile to check weardown ? they had no clue about what i was talking about .

This is a standard tool to check addendum, deddendum of Teeth of Sprocket to check weardown , later noted the quality of sprocket , not happy with metal quality.

Point 4. When they saw that i was talking too much technical stuff , they diverted my attention by saying they will provide lifetime warranty , this means lifetime of bloodsucking by DSK ??

      Point 5.
They pressed me on just booking the bike first , and all these issues will be dealt later. Also saw them promoting their accessories a lot.

Point 6. When they saw situation going out of hand , they tried selling me the bike on exhaust Note . They kept revving the engine for some time.

Point 7. I asked their figures , they have sold 80 bikes including 600i , 2 bikes have complains of disc brakes ( cracks in discs ) .

Point 8. Quality of Front discs metal , not very good , though double discs are psychologically more appealing.

Point 9. USD shocks ( oil seal ring ) is a single spring loaded seal , may leak with time.

I was disheartened , had all money in cash , so went ahead and booked Kawasaki Z250 as i wanted a comfortable riding position, no offence to the benneli owners here, But guys " We as consumers need to beef ourselves up and question these guys and their ways , because our money is at stake, guys like DSK are ruining the beautiful benneli as it is , changing the norms for their own profit , " As monsters like DSK are always out there bending rules to earn more profit , just for your information , guys at helm are totally idiotic, talk utter non sense when you ask the right questions, they are clueless and give excuse that they will come back after talking to their italian service engineers , for heaven's sake you are dismantling the bike should know , how to do it !!

There is a lot of torque specific tightening( screws ) involved in the bike , i have seen these workshop guys using normal spanners for the same absolutely shocking.

i know and understand these issues very well , as we ourselves do hydraulic and torque specific tightening on our engines and know how critical it is !!

Effects are not immediate, but long term effects.

Mr Sirish kulkarni says " we want to bring in our 4 wheeler experience in 2 wheeler segment ", They are just running a Toyota dealership , what other experience do they have ??

I loved Bennell and will definitely love having one,may be not in india , somewhere where there is only " Bennelli " no DSK !!

I share a lot of your views, but I still love this bike man. Some people here may remember me being a little active here because I too was looking at buying one. But all that changed as we talked about financing the machine. Stupid bank representative pissed off my parents and it was them who recommended this bike. The service cost and the frequent and expensive oil changes put me off too. Eventually went for the more pocket friendly Duke 390. The reason I didn't come back to this thread is because I ddidn't think I have anything to contribute here, but I doo still drool over the pics and posts you guys put up here. But to be honest, this bike suited my riding better. I am calm, soft and not too rushed in most situations, with the rare blast through the twisties. Ohh well...could have been. As of now, I'm happy with the Duke as it was in my mind ever since it was launched and I didn't even look at the Benelli until my parent asked me to. But there are times when I do remember that test ride of the TNT 300. But I guess I can own an exotica later on in my life.

Now for the reason I made this post. If you are buying the Z250 , I'd request you to start an ownership thread. The only reason I didn't try the Z250 after being scared by those service charges was because of the lack of test rides and the absence of an ownership thread here. Sorry for the OT and enjoy the week!
          Must ride on!

Very true. They should learn some basics from KTM probiking service centre. They provide excellent service for KTMs & Kawasakis alike. Bennelli should learn it quickly otherwise people will ditch them forever.

This thread had been highly captivating and alluring that indeed made up my mind to go for the black stallion.

I would like to bring to your notice two things that is happening recently at the Chennai Showroom.

                i) Over delay in delivery : I had booked my TNT 300(Nero Black) on 22nd Feb'16. Till today, the showroom guys are not sure when they will get the bike for me. The reasons that they are citing were financial year ending, increase in demand, setting up of a new assembly facility at Pune, etc. The lead time is already nearing 50 Days and there is no sign of shipments to Chennai. I was given no firm guarantee that I will receive my bike in the next batch of delivery which is on 25th April'16 as there are a lot of bookings before mine, as informed by them. Also informed, I'll be given a high priority tag if I am ready to deposit 1.7 Lac INR to their account at the earliest.

ii) Price implication of 3,802 INR: Post the National financial budget'16.

I would like to know whether these things are sprouting up all across because it is depressing and takes the excitement out of you.

Expecting you all to throw some light on these matters! Thank you!

                              Hi guys

This is Sachin. I am silent follower of this group. Thanks for all to their valuable review over here.
I went to book TNT250, but after listening the sound and test drive the bike I fall in lv with it. Also my wife decision play important role in it. I shown her bike ask her to listen the sweet sound of bike. She also impressed with it. And approved my request to book. Only her concern was the price tag. But I managed the money and she was also ready and given a green signal for my choice.
After one month research and review I finally booked 300 last month from Thane showroom. They told me waiting period is 30 to 45 days as lots of booking happening for 300. Sales person and Benelli employee at showroom are too much cooperative. Now 30 days are pass and I am still waiting for my Italian beauty. Regarding delivery Benelli sales person Yogesh giving me update properly.
They told me they receive the spare and as soon as they will release the bike. Till 20th of this month they will start to deliver the bike's.... Thanks to all for their valuable review and help to select my Italian beauty....
