Note sure if any of you noticed :
The rear mudguard is not what I would call "adequate" for the rainy season.
1. The gap in the mudguard under the number plate causes mud to accumulate under the number-plate light. Also the number plate is covered in muck in no time, when riding in rain.
2. The sides on the mudguard is not wide enough. Hence mud and rain water splashes on to the pillion seat or the pillion's thighs if there is a pillion sitting.
I did not want to just bolt on a rubber flap as it would look out of place and may not work as expected. Hence I arranged a set of BTwin Cycle mudflaps and retro fitted the same using the existing fasteners to give it a clean and functional form.
Here are some pictures below :
Have tested the same in recent rains and it works as expected.

The BTwin ones served me well because they are not flimsy and had grooves in it to help give it shape, which would not have been possible with plain plastic sheets. The cost would seem to be a bit high considering they are plastic inserts, but they are sturdy and look neat too.
