  • Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience

Today, two guys on a Duke 390 stopped me on road near Shivaji Park for the price and make and after examining the bike properly said that the bike looked superb. Proud moment for me.

Trust me dude its painful, and I merely made 450 kms in 1.5 months...... The mileage i got was 26.5 kmpl though during the run-in in peak city traffic.

Congrats Bro, keep munching miles and do run in the engine properly. I am seeing the tone and the smoothness of the engine improving with every passing day of run in.

Thanks guys. Took the Nero Black ... Planning in using it for daily office rides. Expect it to be done in around a month clubbed with weekend rides.

Hi i saw this article about proper run in and it says that some times you need to let the bike go beyond the run in limit and it also mentioned that we must not ride the bike at constant speed and must change gears continuously. Is this True ?

Yes, all the points a valid. Be cautious but don't be over cautious. You should enjoy the ride as well.
                      - Slight bursts while riding is appropriate rather than taking it beyond the limit. But 90% of the time, keep it below the stated RPM
                      - Speed should have fluctuations rather being constant.
                      - Change gears but not so frequently.

More about varying the RPM. 1st 3 gears are pretty tall so you can vary the RPM around.
